That was a cheap move by Barrett.

Yes it was, only thing even paritially irritating was AJ slapping the plate. Nothing else was wrong with the play.

The problem is that the Cubs can't get up for the series (or the season) and the Sox can.

Barrett deserves every bit of fine and suspension he gets.

Anyone who doesn't think that AJ running over Barrett was clean is really letting their fandom getting in the way of what they know about baseball.

That was as clean as any catcher being run over that I have ever seen.

Please. The ball was 10 feet away. Slide around him and touch the plate.

that was a bitch move by AJ IMO.

You cannot be serious. Yeah, it was sort of stupid, but he was fired up. Barrett grabbed him and slugged him. I lost a lot of respect for Barrett.

Yet you still have respect for AJ, right?

Did he slug a player in the face?

Also, how does AJ know the ball is not even close?

I don't think it was right, but saying he deserved it is laughable.

isnt aj the guy who punched a trainer in the groin after he was hit by a pitch in the same area and the trainer came outy and asked him how he felt?

Take your blinders off, watch it again, and tell me its clean.

Is anyone else excited at the chance the White Sox will get back the Cubs by beaning someone and this will actually give us a real live baserunner?

He then proceeded to make a gesture at Barrett, jaw at him, and bump into him.

I love how people expect a guy going full speed into home to gauge where exactly the ball is and what velocity it's coming in at.

Barrett was blocking the plate. That's all that needs to be said.

Clean play.

i think it wasn't what AJ did (running him over), but I think he said something to Barrett when they were face to face.

Mabry got destroyed.

DID HE? MABRY IS SUCH A GIRL!!!

Mabry was slap-fighting the whole time.

Pedro K's Jeter....2-0 Mets bottom of 3rd.

I've only seen the replay once but, IMHO, AJ did not need to crash into Barret...the throw was not even close.

So no Sox get ejected and 2 Cubs? Yeah, the Cubs started it, but there is no way Brian Anderson should stay in the game. Possibly Podsednik too.

How did AJ know the ball was 10 feet away (which it wasn't)?

Also, what was Anderson doing? He came in slugging at anybody, I don't even know how him and Mabry got into it. Also, I was disappointed Pods and Pierre couldn't go after it.

yeah, it was clean except for the fact that it wasn't necessary and I'm sure that's what was running through Barrett's head after he got plowed over.
