Wood on pace for about a 6 IP outing. 48 pitches thru 3

If we can get 6 IP with no more runs scored, I'll take it.

I'll take it too, but it is a moot point. This lineup will have a very difficult time scoring runs.

I'm sure we won't score any more runs.

Right. I'm not expecting to win at this point, I just want Kerry to settle down. We aren't going to score today.

What's Kerry at? about 50 pitches through 2, 5 hits, three homeruns? Go Cobs!!!!!LOL Just comical.

What did you expect a no-hitter? It's his first game back. Relax.

Well, if he was ready to come back I would expect a little more than that, but I was just talking in generalities of how bad this team is. As usual the Messiah has a high pitchcount early in the game and is getting battered around this is Kerry's MO. He will probably settle down but he always seems to have one or two bad innings early in games.

Career ERA of 3.67, ERA+ of 116. Obviously he doesn't always have one or two bad innings a game. It's his first game back. Everybody warned that he would not be perfect, he's shown signs of dominance, but can't be expected to be 100% right now. If he shows no signs of improvement in the coming games then you can start complaining, but this isn't that big of a deal.

Why? We scored a bunch in the last two games. They've been playing with intensity.

I'd be able to relax if this was unusual for him. Looks to me like the same guy we've seen over the past couple years.

Pierre better not bunt again. Ward is so fat and slow in RF that you have to let Pierre swing for the triple.

Or he can just roll over it to the SS.

That 1st bunt attempt did nothing to change my mind. Let him swing.

he wont be 100% because he'll be on the DL again in 3 weeks.

Can Pierre even get it out of the infield?

I guess I shouldn't have said "always" but it has been a problem for him in the past where he will have stretches where that happens. Take away some of those innings and his ERA would be closer to 3. Obviously not every pitcher is perfect so those innings will happen and should be expected. It just seems that with the "stuff" Kerry has it happens more often than you would like.

This offense needs to return to the winning formula of bunting and opposition errors.

We just aren't getting the breaks dude.

Seriously, I'll be shocked if he doesn't leave this game complaining of soreness somewhere.
