We'll be just fine !! ........until interleague play starts !!

Okay. So the Cubs quit baseball and branch off into Jai Alai.

We could just contract the other 29 teams

Baseball needs re-alignment...

If there was a division consisting of the Cubs, D-Rays, Royals, Pirates, Nats, and Marlins, we'd all be making plans for the post-season.

We need to get this idea to Selig -- its our only hope!

We're only in 1st until we get swept by the Nats.

true. thus, I propose:

American League
----------------------------
Anaheim
Arizona
Atlanta
Baltimore
Boston
Chicago White Sox
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Colorado
Detroit
Florida
Houston
Kansas City
Los Angeles
Milwaukee
Minnesota
NY Mets
NY Yankees
Oakland
Philly
Pittsburgh
San Diego
San Francisco
Seattle
St. Louis
Tampa Bay
Texas
Toronto
Washington

National League
------------------
Chicago Cubs

Under that alingment, we'd still somehow find a way to get swept in the NLCS.

I think it would somehow involve a split squad.

Line-ups?

way too early for lineups. they don't usually come out until about an hour before gametime.

Bynum LF

Perez SS

Walker 1B

Jones CF

Mabry RF

Hairston 2B

Theriot 3B

Blanco C

Rusch P

Move Perez to 3rd, Theriot to the OF somewhere, and put Cedeno at SS and we have 6 potential 2B starting in one game.

You had me until I got to the pitcher. I could totally see Dusty doing something like this.

Any chance the Cubs can use ghost runners tonight? That way we won't see wasted outs on bunts. Not that it would matter much.

Our Nation's Capital doesn't have a TV deal?

Since it's on WICU or whatever, I can't get it on mlb extra innings.

bah!

I've got it listed on my Comcast cable MLB EI. Channel 772. It's the Washington broadcast.

And only slightly less humorous.

I like him letting Murton bat 2nd right now. That is, until he starts making him lay down bunts.

Thanks, Bruce.

Thanks Bruce as always!

I'm alright with this lineup. Cedeno has been struggling lately and it's nice to not have an automatic out hitting 8th like we had against the Padres all 3 games. Not a big surprise to see Mabry in the lineup considering he's done real well against Livan in his career.

Let's PLEASE get a W tonight.

I got Walker and Mabry at the right spots in the order but wrong positions. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

And I figured I should put Rusch in the lineup to remove any doubt on whether the lineup was real or not.
