i just got home from school... did marshall suck that much?

Yep.

Good to see the ecellent starting pitching we were ravig about in the offseason.... i hate to say i called it, but.... i called it

Called what? Marshall would have a bunch of good to great starts and then one terrible outing? That's an odd thing to have "called."

Brenly just cracked me up. He said most of Hairston's hard hit balls go foul and this one goes fair. That was funny but true.

Brenly is actually really funny when the team is sucking. He makes so many snide comments that often fly under the radar.

I like Brenly. He easily sees the flaws of the team as a whole.

If you think Baker will resign than you don't know Baker. According to him. he's no quitter.

He also doesn't know what it's like to not manage deep into October and has never had a team with poor fundamentals.

I don't think he'll quit and I don't think Hendry will fire him. But that's just another sign of what a bad job he's done as GM, because he clearly should.

Alou is even more braindead than Baker with hsi pitching staff. Wright has over a 100 pitches, why was he still in?

Baker did the same thing last night with Zambrano.

How often does a pitcher like this get a chance like this? The Cubs are the best Christmas present ever for scrub pitchers.

Management has to have some say when you're changing mechanics and style of an All-Star caliber pitcher. Don't think that just the pitching coach can mess around with their mechanics. It's definitely a group effort sitting down and reviewing video/footage trying to pinpoint the flaw of delivery or arm angle.

I think Rothschild and Baker overused them in 2003, but being injured all during 2004 and 2005 falls squarly on the female twins (Wood/Prior).

So you think Larry, Jim, Dusty and the pitcher gather around a video machine and breakdown mechanics. Then what's the point of a pitching coach?

If you admit they were overused then you have to admit that part of the later problems was likely due to that overuse. There's no such thing as overuse if it doesn't have repercussions. The repercusion is problems down the road, which those guys obviously suffered.

Bynum gets a hit and nobody on hear says anything about it, but if he would have struck out there everyone on hear would be all over him.

Sorry.

Yay Freddie. You managed to get a triple in a 9-0 game. You're awesome. I take back all the concrete evidence that you're terrible.

What kind of insurrection will have to take place for Hendry to fire Baker, I wonder?

Lets all meet at the Trib Tower with pitch forks and torches and find out:
