Are we gonna set the record for most Stupid Sac Bunt attempts in a year?

GOD DUSTY YOU BRAIN DEAD MORON. LET CEDENO HIT.

I don't think that was Baker's fault. Just because a manager calls for a sac bunt doesn't mean you try and bunt at balls out of the zone. Even Marshall didn't do that. That was another example of bad baseball. This time it happens to be Cedeno showing incompetence at the plate.

perhaps bad bseball on cedeno's part, but you have to play for a big inning when you're down 5, w/ a rookie on the mound, and especially w/ the way this team has been hitting.

I hated the sac bunt call. But Cedeno also helped to ruin the inning because he could've been hitting with a 3-0 or 3-1 count. It seems that people want to hold only Baker accountable. Baker made another stupid decision. But Cedeno added to this team's poor and stupid play by insisting on offering at two pitchers clearly out of the strike zone.

Walker flied out to shallow left field

Dude, I think you might need spectacles, or CBSsportsline needs new workers.

They said he flied out DEEP to left field.

I'm sure it would never even occur to you that CBSsportsline just might be wrong ?????

It most certainly did, and now that you asked me that question, I think both parts of my statement above are true.

Fred doesn't fight. I'm not sure he isn't a robot who posts the play by play, because he gets in a zone and loses focus of all other postings around him

I don't lose focus..... but I sometimes get 2 or 3 pages behind in reading when things get busy.

I have to say, living a block from Wrigley makes me absolutely love this terrible PACE commercial where the guy can't find a parking space

I'm pretty sure it's only some postings.

Jones is going deep.

Maybe not.

It seems that the breaking ball underneath the hands is the way to get Jones swinging every time. Tough pitch to hit, but it would be nice to see him layoff things he cannot drive.

Santo has completely lost his bearings

What's he talking about?

He was talking about his 1000th hit. Or his 2000th hit. Or his 300th home run. Or the time he got a homer off of Tom Seaver. Which may have been a 3-run homer. Or a 3000-run homer.

I'm really not sure. Neither is he, I don't think

That would be describing a selective hitter, who is patient. You're in the wrong fanbase (caveat murton)

I just noticed that the cubs have only one player batting over .300 now...

And that could be gone by the end of the day.

They also only have player in the top ten in all offensive categories, that being Juan Pierre in steals (funny, because I don't remember any of them). No other Cub is in the top ten in any offensive category. Pathetic.
