SMALL BALLS WINS BALLGAME!

small ball did win tonight. Cedeno S, stole 2b, and sac to 3rd for the first run.

One run wouldn't have won.

Lets recap - bunt get one run

don't bunt - get five runs

What amazes me is how many times this has to be shown to be true.

And people still talk about manufacturing runs.

If that is your manufacturing process you won't long stay in business.

So who thinks this win is the start of a 12 game win streak following an 8 game losing streak, ala 2001?

Not me

Me neither. In other news, destroy things and riot! Cubs win! Cubs win!

If the Cubs win the next 11 in a row, I'll change my name to Douchbag McWussenstien and have Richard Simmons in my avatar for the rest of my days here at NSBB.

Anbody listening to the jackasses on Barry Bonds Tonight?

Ravech speculate about Dusty's job being in jeopardy and says "hopefully not"

Then Reynolds cites the injuries.

That's the tragedy about all of this...Dusty and company have their built in excuses all set up. Dusty is certainly not all to blame for the crappy play and ill fortunes, but who do they think rode his pitchers into the ground (which might just have a smidge to do with pitcher injuries).

Oh yeah, a win is nice for a change.
