Even today, Steve Stone insisted that it's only a matter of time before Baker gets an extension. How can Hendry possibly sell that to the fans?

 

A narcotic gas is emitted from urinal cakes in the trough that react with pee. This chemical reaction creates a euphoric state that encourages submission to all of Hendry's cleverness.

 

That and clowns.

I said this last year in June when the Cubs were struggling, and I'll say it again: if this thing is going to go south, I hope it goes WAY south. If the Cubs aren't going to win, I hope they tank so badly the heads have to roll.

 

This talk of extending Baker literally makes me ill.

Let's make this losing streak double digits. What the hell.

 

I'm getting to a point that I just want them to lose for however long it takes for Dusty to get fired. I know it's not all his fault, but it sure as hell wouldn't hurt.

 

As I alluded to in another thread, if the Cubs lose tonite, it will be the fourth losing streak of at least 7 games in the past year under Dusty.

 

That isn't good.

 

In a year??? That's just terrible.

 

I want to see a manager with some fire...when was the last time Dusty got ejected for arguing? When you're losing this much surely there's SOMETHING to argue and show your team that you have some fight in you...

If that happens, does anyone want to put together a protest outside Wrigley trying to deter fans from going into the park? It probably won't happen, but we might get some pub for it.

 

Perhaps a Homer Simpson-esque hunger strike while chained to the Harry Caray statue?

 

I don't care what we do. I just want to have the management know that some fans are completely disgruntled, and we aren't going to take this crap year after year anymore

Well at least we don't have to worry about trying to resign Maddux next year.

Thankfully, but with Hendry you never know. If the price is right I bet you that Hendry resigns him.
