Greene should have been out at second. Hairston took the throw on the wrong side of the bag. Pads announcers have been talking about how both Neifi and Hairston didn't apply tags correctly.

and it figures Brenly would pick up Barrett on that play. That was not a very good throw by Barrett. I just rewinded that play and Hairston made it a closer play by going in front of the bag and getting it. If Hairston doesn't do that, that ball bounces in front of him and Greene is safe anyway.

Jeff Kent and Richie Sexson are both doing worse than Aram in the cleanup spot. I already pointed that out.

716 middle infielders on the roster, and none of them know how to play (except for the one playing 1B, whom everyone thought was the worst). Thank you for the loss, JERRY HAIRSTON, JR. Pierre's arm had nothing to do with that. I can't think of a CF that would have thrown Greene out.
