Very dumb managing by the Padres. Intentionally walking Neifi to get to the pitcher made no sense when Z had thrown 107 and was sure to be pulled for a PH. An RHP vs. Neifi was the best situation the Padres could have hoped for.

Was it a poor decision? It got Zambrano out of the game. And Dusty is known for racking up high pitch counts for his starters.

Pathetic? There's nearly a potential all-star at every position. It's the Lee injury that's really killing us.

is that sarcasm?

Good thing we gave Hendry that much deserved extension.

I wasn't aware Hendry plays CF.

He doesn't but he is the one that put this pathetic team together.

This team wasn't great on paper - but they were solid. Not pathetic. Just the way things have happened this year. Dreadful luck.

You can't be serious. Honestly, I don't like Baker but you can't blame him for much this season so far.

Except for right field, I would agree.

What was with Mabry watching the fielder throw him out at second? I understand not wanting the batted ball to hit you so the runner might hesitate and then let it get past. But he just about came to a dead stop and then watched himself get thrown out by the second baseman without even attempting to continue to the bag. Great hustle.

Nah, cause then Dusty would have pulled a double switch for no apparent reason and they would've had to face cedeno instead of mabry.

I like the youngsters as much as the next guy, but Murton and Cedeno are far from All-Stars.

Neither are Walker, Jones and Pierre.

In fact the only 2 All-Stars I see are Lee and Ramirez.

IMO getting out of the inning with no runs allowed was way more urgent than chasing Z.

He was hoping they would go for the run-down and a run would score

Baker let Prior throw nearly 130 pitches in his 3rd game of the season last year, IIRC. I thought it was pretty stupid considering he started the season on the DL.

I think Baker would have sent Z back to the hill.

Have you guys ever read Moneyball? Theres a passage with Mabry in it, and he comes off as a combination of a douche and a moron.

"Have you ever faced a major league pitcher? Yea, I didn't think so"-Mabry

C - Barret is the best hitting catcher in the NL

1B - Lee

2B - If Walker plays everyday he could be an allstar.

3B - Ram

SS - Cedeno could be the starting SS for the NL this year.

The outfield is bumalicious besides Murt, who has all star potential, but is not quite there. The infield rocks.

Is that sarcasm? Weren't the bases loaded? A fielder going for the rundown would make no sense when you have a forceout at second.
