Well, like every good pitcher, Marshall gets out of the mess the umps created for him with minimal damage. If there's any justice in the world, we'll score a few and get him the win.

Freaking Wilsons. Everytime we lose to the Pirates, they are involved.

Jack Wilson = Jeff Blauser imo.

Look. At least we don't have Mack-O-Whack anymore.

I don't blame the umps. Make sure you get the damn tag Aramis!

No. If he goes to get Wilson, he doesn't get the runner at 2nd. It should have been a DP. The umps just blew it.

If you make sure you get the lead runner, they can't get a cheap run. I'd rather make sure we get the runner at 3rd than take a risk at a DP and let the man at 2nd advance to 3rd.

There is justice in the world, it just somehow eludes the Cubs.

Marshall showed some big league poise there.

Definitely.

Seventh inning stretch - that's the Bradley Basketball coach? Started out tone deaf, but getting better now.

GET SOME FREAKING RUNS YOU STUPID BUMS!!!!

We just got screwed...he was WAY out of the base line.

I may sound abit paranoid, but the last week or so, the Cubs has had some VERY bad calls and or crappy umping against them. It's never fun when you are not only having to play against the other team's nine, but the 4 supposedly "unbias" men who were the "blue".

It was not only the ump, but Ramirez did not look good defensively in that inning. 3 weak ground balls to him: he misses the first, the second he misses the tag, the third he did not throw him when he could have had the runner.

true, mad props to marshall... (NOTE: no one goes out there to calm marshall down he does it himself, if that's prior on the mound the bucs score 8,...i've seen that happen somewhere)

Thge Cubs load the bases with no outs - don't score, Pirates hit a bunch of cheesey, crap singles and of course, tie the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dusty shouldn't have left the field w/out being thrown out. That was a really bad call and one that you cannot miss.

The lead runner is out, the umps are just to to call anything for the cubs.

FWIW, the Buc announcers speculated the ump was thinking that because he fielded the ball in the basepath, Wilson had to go around him.

They looked up the rule here and justified this.

He had already fielded it and was going to apply the tag, therefore, he was out. I hope we beat up on Santos next inning

He was heading wide before he fielded it. Check the replay again.

Still, the call could have gone either way.

No. You have to expect the umpire will do his job. It wasn't as if Wilson took a single step outside the baseline. Aramis made the right play.

Only 75 pitches for the Kid. I say send him out for the 8th.

Not in a tie game, late. Dusty has to pinch hit for Marshall.

did dustbrain get his lazy toothpick chomping ass off the bench and argue at least?

Surprisingly, yes.

Shouldn't be any question.

Wouldn't be shocked to see him get lifted for a pinch hitter. It might depend if Barrett or Mabry can get on base.

He doesn't have to, but he probably will pinch-hit with Neifi.

Well, they might get to his spot in the order.

Wishful thinking.
