Throw strikes!

I think it's a good time for him to get the kinks out.

I don't. I still have fantasies about winning this game.

Aardsma has to learn to pitch inside a little better. I think this little tour of duty should get him to be a better pitcher.

Well, Edmonds is on my fantasy team (I didnt select him, my intenet was down for that round) so good for me I guess. Bad for Aardsma, he needs to go back to Iowa, I think Ryu would be a better choice.

They don't have time for him to fix himself. He may end up getting demoted so that someone else can get a shot.

the cubs may have to make a roster move after the game tonight. novoa won't be able to go tomorrow, and it's possible aardsma won't either. and rusch is pitching tomorrow. time to stretch out howry and eyre!!

Just like that we're back out of the game.

I'm only watching because this is the first game I've been able to watch this season.

I don't even get to see Derrek Lee bat.

I think it's pretty safe to say that everyone who thought the Cubs' pitching could keep them afloat are pretty double-whammied tonight between Jerome, the Aardvark and the Wood news.

Wow Aardsma is just junk.

I disagree. He's a young kid that needs some time IMO. I think this Lee/Prior/Wood injuries might be a blessing in diguise if Hendry does it right. By that I mean some young guys might get some time and we can see if they are worth having around.

It's too bad that Ryu is starting tonight in Iowa. That rules out him helping tomrorrow. Wuertz can't be called up for a few more days if I'm not mistaken.

Nice play by Ronnie!

This is not good for the weekend as our middle relief gets eaten up on the first game.

Yep. The least Jerome coulda done was give up 7 runs over five innings.

What happened to Wood?

Personally I see no logic in that. Sometimes you just have to let a kid work it out and not make him be perfect the first 3 or 4 times out there.
