Here is a thought. The Cubs have been cruxified in recent years (and rightly so) for their poor handling of injuries. From treatment to return dates, they have just been wrong with amazing consistency.

 

Maybe, just maybe, the reports of Derrek being out for 2-3 months includes a built in cushion. Perhaps the Cubs have learned to go worst case scenerio over miracle cure, Jesus laying on hands type of estimates.
