I particularly despise losing when the Cubs give up more runs than a team has hits.

That is definately the worst feeling and my biggest pet peeve about pitching.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets aggravated by that.

You are definitely not. It irks the heck out of me. To put it in a friendly, family-oriented board sort of way.

good outing, jerome.

if only the cubs had a promising young left handed pitcher who was currently dominating in AAA...

Does Williams have any options left?

Get better?

Stop walking the pitcher?

Lose more weight?

All seem like options he might want to consider...

who cares?

seriously though, i don't know.

guzman was roughed up in his last start, and his era is high. however, his whip, k's, etc are all really good...it's a strange set of numbers.

Yeah but this is the Cubs it would make way to much sense to call up Hill. Good to see our offense is rolling...

Jerome out, Novoa in.

Anyone else think that the majority of STL fans are sick of us having all sorts of injury problems? I know if I were a Cards fan I'd at least be a little disappointed that they have faced a shell of a Cubs team over the last three years.

A lot of Cubs fans I know give no credit to the Cardinals becuase of the injury excuse. I get sick of it. I'd like to see what the two teams could do completely healthy for an entire season. I also feel bad for good guys like Lee and good fans who have to go through this kind of frustration. But the douche bags I feel no sympathy for.

Well said.

We've kicked your butts the last 2 years head to head even with injuries.

Juan runs hard to first on a comebacker down 7-0....pretty impressive.

Maybe he's making up for bunting the first pitch of the game when everyone was expecting him to do so.

Unfortunately, head to head only counts for tiebreakers.

I would rather see Guzman.

hill: 19 ip, 11 h, 5 bb, 23 k, 0.84 whip, 1.42 era, 1 homer allowed

gooz: 16 ip, 15 h, 3 bb, 23 k, 1.10 whip, 6.61 era, 4 homers allowed

Guzman gave up a bunch of HR his last time out I think, he looked completely dominate at time and then he would give up bombs, I think its just a matter of getting some innings under his belt.

pierre is overrated in so many ways, it's hard to find a place to start. however, i'll go out on a limb and say his bunting may be the most overrated aspect of his game.

What is everyones opinion on the new Busch? Kinda funny how a few of the new stadiums have put bricks behind the plate like Wrigley.

I'd like to see the Cubs deal Pierre, Williams, Jones, Perez, Wiiliamson and Wood when he's off the DL in June/July.

Brenly, "You know, its fun to watch Maddux pitch a game, but its also fun to watch him watch a game from the dugout..."

The game sucks from every angle.
