Man this ain't no hitters park huh?

at night, the air sinks (flows downhill) in Chavez Revine. Its hard to hit a hr in the eveing there. during the day, as the heat rises from the LA basin, WHOLE nother story.

think of it like Wrigley West

Yeah, the patterns are kind of interesting. Just because this is a night game, it won't get dark until 8pm or so. And even then, the marine layer doesn't always settle in at dusk. Sometimes, it creeps in while it's still light out. But on a clear, sunny day, all bets are off on how many runs can score. It's interesting stuff, really.

Dodger Stadium is my 2nd favorite stadium. I like the design, not a bad seat in the house, and the way it plays, day vs night.

Cubbie games there are a treat

I've never been there in person, but on TV it doesn't really impress...

Do they still have that neat backdrop behind the outfield bleahers? It's kind of a wavy blacony design.

Can someone give me a quick synopsis of what I've missed so far?

Pierre doubled to lead off the game and scored on a Todd Walker single.

Marshall walked two straight batters but just struck out Saenz to get out of it.

Whew, way to get by those two walks. Very refreshing to see a rook do that instead of giving up the three-run homer as we have seen many times.

Pierrre Doubled, Walker drove him in. Lee hit one to the warning track, Ramirez is continuing his crappy offense (GIDP).

Marshall lucky against Kent, BB'd two in front of him, but got out of the inning.

They do...they have redone all the seats though....light yellow and blue, evidently like it was in the 60's when they built the park. Supposedly some of the Dodgers think it is too bright now though, not something to worry about if they could get their fans into their seats at gametime (i know, i know, traffic in LA and so forth, but still...)

Thanks, I remember seeing that in the pictures on one of the baseball video games.

One more question: What caused the name change from Chavez-Ravine to Dodger Stadium?

My understanding is that Chavez Ravine in the area of town where the ball park is located. It was never really the official name of the ball park.
