Also, don't forget about Pronk.

.354/.483/.854/1.337

Here's Shelton, just for a laugh

.471/.500/1.216/1.716

The only problem? 2bb/16k. He's hitting everything in sight, so eventually pitchers are just gonna stop. Hope he knows hot to not swing.

That 3 triples line is phat. He must be all that slow either.

I'm not sure of his speed, but he looks awefully slow. I saw the highlights of two of his triples, both of which were missed dives for line drives that went all the way to the wall.

I wouldn't be surprised if his total for the year ends up being that same 3, unless outfielders keep ole'ing his line drives.

Its not impossible considering the really deep dimensions in Comerica.

If he ends up at 6 or 7, that'd be awesome.

I knew this kid would be good when I saw his numbers from last year, but this is just absurd. I'm interested to see how many he'll have by the end of May to see if he can make a run at 40-45.

Too bad you got rid of him for the Home Run Derby competition. He might have helped you a little bit.

Yeah, I have a feeling I'm gonna regret choosing Jhonny Peralta over him when the final numbers are tallied.

And for the record, I voted Gomes as the 2005 AL ROY. My friend is a DRays fan so I hear about these guys a lot.

Hey, I picked Jacque Jones. We all make mistakes.

2005- 18 HR 388 AB

2006- 9 HR, 52 AB

Wow.

BTW -

Jonny Gomes: 26 HR in 388 AB's in MLB

Chris Shelton: 27 HR in 440 AB's in MLB

Nitpick but Shelton has 486 ABs, not 440. He had 46 ABs in '04, and it's why it's kinda ridiculous to complain about us not picking him up in Rule V. We were contending for the playoffs and didn't have room on the bench for a guy that was never gonna play, the Tigers were coming off of a historically bad season.
