lol this is the best Cards/Cubs game I can remember, this is some awesome stuff

That series in 2003 was pretty sweet - don't forget about THAT.

Refresh my memory?

when we won 4 out 5 I believe and never looked back, took the wild card, people were pegged, larussa and dusty screaming at each other from the dug outs in the middle of this wild card race....

One was a Sammy walk-off, shoulda swept...the Alou foul-chalk kicker upper was the only loss

Good Lord the Cardinals look terrible! Hopefully they play this way the rest of the season. SWEEP SWEEP!

They'll be fine the rest of the season. Their bad play in this series is all the fault of the cold showers.

HAHAHA....Earl Weaver comparisons....funny given the Earl Weaver discussions that have gone on here recently.

the funny thing is, now they're talking about it as if to compliment the cubs when before morgan couldn't shut up about how bad it was to rely on hr's.

Nice long summery of the inning. Gotta love it. Five runs on three hits, way to go STL pitchers.

Do you bring in Dempster or save him?

We have a day off tomorrow... shouldn't be a big deal.

Anyway, did anyone thing the crowd reaction/tension in this game/energy makes this feel like a playoff game in April? That reaction to the Granny is reminicent of the crowd when Woody hit a HR in game 7, though obviously not QUITE as raucous.

It just feels like a playoff game to me.

lol at Ronnie. "Whoa! Whoa!" on Pagan's speed.

What I want to know is how did he react to the Grandslam?

He was just literally scraming when Barrett's bat hit the ball. Everybody knew it was gone when it hit it.
