you should never look at a check swing in slow motion, cuz it always looks like a swing. but i was sure that was a walk.

I actually had to come down to the computer just to congratulate the homeplate umpire on the worst strike three call in history. As Steve Stone said the other day, "How is it that the home plate umpire can track the path of the pitch AND see a check swing?"

Even on the replay it looked like he held.

Wow. That's a questionable call. The thirdbase umpire needs to make that call. And I loved how he chased Pierre. That was awful umpiring.

That's not even "questionable". He did not go.

 

I'm sure Joe Morgan will call it for the crap call it was....oh wait.

Terry Craft clearly has money on this game.

 

Either that or he is a galactic incompetent who has no business on a major league diamond.

 

Take your pick. It's one or the other.

 

There is no way a plate umpire can watch an outside pitch and the bat at the same time.
