I'd rather have it in 2007 when Greg Oden will be available. I would not mind LaMarcus Aldridge, however.

Problem with the Knicks is that they sign the same freaking player all the time. Nice scorers, but all shoot first, bad shooters (none of Marbury, QRich, and Crawford are over 41 percent shooting. That is horrid.) and an unmotivated Antonio Davis who doesn't want to be there and an overrated center in Eddy Curry.

Larry Brown is in for a LONG tenure in New York. Good luck getting most of those clowns (I think AD might be their best defender sadly) to play some defense.

The Knicks are to NY what the Clippers are to LA. I know the Nets are in NJ, but I can see the Knicks completely losing their celebrity clientele real soon. They are the worst NBA franchise right now. No direction.

In a manner of speaking, we do. We can trade 1st-round picks with the Knicks in the 2007 draft if they end up with a higher pick than we do. Also part of the Curry trade.

IMO if we use those draft picks well and Sweets keeps playing well, we could end up making out like bandits in that deal.

Anyone else getting excited for the Knicks first round pick in 2006?

Can you say, "Isaiah, you're fired"?

I know, its early. But the Knicks are a disaster.

Does anyone know if that pick is conditional? Like, if the Knicks get a top 2 pick or something, they keep it?

It's the Bulls picks unless it falls below #25 overall. If it's 26 or below, I believe the pick goes to the Jazz and the Bulls get the Knicks first-round pick in 2007.

I read somewhere it was conditional, but I asked the question on basketballboards.net's Bulls board (best Bulls message board out there btw) and they said it was unprotected

Oh LaMarcus Aldridge, welcome to Chicago.

Wow, please keep sucking Knicks. How awesome would it be to have a shot at having the first pick next year???

we are awful. We are bad on both offense and defense. This season is a bigger disappointment than the one 2 years ago when Paxson pretty much guranteed playoffs. We tasted success last year and to follow it up with a 12-16 start is pretty ridiculous especially losing 2 games to Charlotte, 1 to the Knicks, and 1 to the Blazers.

we need Ben Wallace desparately in the off season. That and using our 2 lottery picks on LaMarcus Aldridge/Rudy Gay and Adam Morrison. Then maybe we can be a top 3 team in the East like we were last year :P

I was actually thinking:

- Draft Shelden Williams

- Trade the other no. 1 with Gordon as part of a package for a vet. two guard

better idea:

draft shelden williams or aldridge depending on where NY's pick falls--use our pick to take rodney carney.

nice, but I think you shoulod take aldridge so we can have some offense from the post. carney is a great sleeper though.

Morrison as the 2G on the Bulls after they trade Gordon for some size next off-season. =P~

It just isn't working having Gordon and Harry Potter in the backcourt.

Adam Morrison's going to have enough problems guarding small forwards in the NBA, much less two guards. Ronnie Brewer, please. :D

We have the Knicks first rounder this year, right?

Yep, and the option to swap first round picks with NY in the 2007 draft too.

Really? Didn't know about that option, wow.

And no interest in Rudy Gay?

I think the Bulls have their answer at SF in Deng. I hope the Bulls can land one of Aldridge, Brewer or Horford (assuming he leaves the Gators) with the Knicks pick, and then take the best PF/SG available with their own.

Holy smokes, that's wonderful.

Can you imagine the backlash in NY if the Knicks land the top pick in 2007 and it's the Bulls that end up with Greg Oden? Dream a little dream.
