I'd say you talked yourself into the right decision...

 

Johnson: 1-32, 0 HR, .031/.139/.031, .170 OPS

Thome: 15-43, 7 HR, .349/.541/.907, 1.448 OPS

Here are the updated standings through the games on 4-19. ndistops, I fixed my problem with hawkcub, but I checked the other players and the values I had the right players for each of them. I may have just had an incorrect homerun total for a player on my previous list.

Why, why why did I pick Adrian Beltre? Did his legs fall off this winter and nobody told me? Is he out there with a red tipped cane and a wheelchair? Could he suck more?

 

I thought he was gonna have a huge year this year, so I picked him too.

 

He's gotten 3 hits in his last two games, so let's hope his swing is coming around.

 

He was hitting well in the WBC so that's why I picked him.

 

Another hit + his first RBI last night...start turning those hits in HRs Beltre!

Me when, after Bonds passes a "random" drug test, goes back on the juice and hits a mammoth 640-ft blast, causing Alou to put Pedro Feliz in front of him, for the remainder of the season.

i'm up to 40....11 of those being Pujols and 7 each for Ortiz and Delgado. Needless to say some of my guys aren't pulling their weight...

I'm starting to doubt my ability to win this thing. I have so many picks in common with Truffle (ARod, Dunn, Pujols, Gomes, Thome) that my other picks would basically have to tear up the world to win.

 

That said, it is April and anything can still happen. :wink:

 

I've still got a couple of numbers different from those on Truffle's list, but I'm probably out of date (for instance I had Swisher at 7 until he hit his 9th yesterday).
