The game is going to end. Guillen is out of players.

So unsatisfying...

Out of players? Sounds like an excuse to me. He could have gone another inning or two. He didn't use all of his pitchers, and they have the DH, so they aren't burning bench players when they change pitchers.

BOOOOOO!!!! HISSSSSS!!!

I was thinking the same thing but they said he didn't bring all of his pithers.

But he had a DH so his pitchers should have been fresher.

I wonder if Bobby Jenks was there....you'll notice he went to Neil Cotts to close...Jenks is not too popular in Guillens house this spring.

He only brought 3 pitchers? He may not have brought them all, but I have a hard time believing he only brought 2 relievers.

How in the world do you sacrifice bunt with your 5-hitter, with no outs, after back-to-back doubles, when your TRAILING in the game? I know this game doesn't count, but that's the worst call since choosing to face Mike Lowell over Lenny Harris.

This makes me feel ill in remembering this, but wasn't it Delino Deshields and not Lenny Harris?

sorry to be cliche, but it looks like neifi saved us.

pierre is playing really badly, and though howry's era probably isn't bad, is he not giving up alot of hits and walks? eyre is pitching much better iirc.

The plot thickens:

The Cubs were chagrined to see the Sox refuse to go to the 10th in front of a HoHoKam record crowd of 12,894, claiming no pitchers were available.

Privately, the Cubs were a little peeved. How can the Sox pitch starter Mark Buehrle for seven innings and not have enough pitchers to go into the 10th after using only three pitchers the whole game? That's what players and coaches were asking in the Cubs' clubhouse. They saw other Sox pitchers in the bullpen and wanted the game to continue at least another inning.

What a bunch of freaking Nancies.

Guillen is a chump. Baker should call him out for being a coward just so Guillen can go on another physchotic rant.

What a tool. He actually asked a reporter if he should have one of his backup MIF pitch...like he had no other option. How many pitchers did you have warming up in the pen late in the game? I don't like calling anyone a liar, but that's about as obvious as you can get.
