Can I hear freakin' Ronnie Woo Woo?

He was there yesterday so I assume so...

Would somebody please put that man out his misery ???

If he's homeless, how does he get to Arizona? Somebody has to be aiding and abetting him.

The guy lives through anything. He was hit by a car a few years ago and he's still going strong. Any idea's how old the dude is?

I'm pretty sure he's not homeless. I think he's a windowwasher or something. Also he's the man and super cool!

Uh oh, Dusty just said on the pregame that the Sox called and asked if they could use their DH (Thome). He agreed but we're letting Maddux hit. Come on, I would have told them no!

Why? It's a spring training game. Texas was using a DH the other night when the Cubs let Zambrano hit. The result of this game is meaningless. All that matters is getting your work in. Cubs pitchers need to see some at bats, and the White Sox need to get their DH out there.

I agree and I don't have a problem with it either. It's ST games. This is a non-story really..

Beating the Sox is never a non-story. Dusty could be playing go fish with Ozzie, and it'd be a story. If it were anyone else, I wouldn't care about the DH. But since it's the Sox...let's not help them by letting them get their DH some work.

Besides, this is REAL baseball. There are no DHs in REAL baseball.

There was an article on him not long ago - I'm guessing the 2003 season or thereafter - and he's in his early 60's.

Actually, he's been hit by a car several times. It may be his primary source of income ??

That catch just cemented the 2B job... If only we could get Hairston's D and Walkers O in one person

Did Hairston's brutal defensive effort against Texas Friday night get any mention this weekend?

I heard he travels from shelter to shelter but good for him that he's living on his own. If you've ever sat near him in the bleachers, you would not say he's the man nor is he super cool.

I have sat by him before and I think the woo-ing is funny. Lately he's been traveling around the stadium and spreading the woo-ing around a bunch of sections.

Maybe its funny the first time, but after hearing it for an entire game, I just want to smack the guy around.

I thought that I heard somewhere that Hairston will make some phenominal plays but boot routine plays far too often. Does this sound right?

According to Baseball Prospectus' fielding metric, Hairston has been a league average second baseman over the course of his career. He's better than average some years and below average other years.

I'd guess that it's fair to say that he makes some plays that some with less range can't make bit boots some balls that he should field cleanly.
