Anderson walked

Anderson thrown out trying to steal, 2-6

Is it just me, or has there been a LOT of ground rule doubles lately?

 

Yes, the lower fences down the foul lines, as compared to Wrigley, seem to allow a lot more balls to bounce over the wall.

I'm all for SAC bunts with a runner on first and no one out, but you don't bunt with a runner in scoring position with Murton up. What, did Dusty read some book on SACing your way to victory in the offseason?

Why?

 

If it's close and late and Mariano Rivera's on the mound and Neifi Perez is at the plate, maybe you bunt with no one out, but it's generally a bad idea.

Louisiana isn't that far, I suppose.

 

Oh, and it wasn't just a sac bunt. It was a sac bunt with Grissom and Perez due up.
