I'm actually hoping for Rick Pitino (probably wishful thinking). I saw first hand the magic he can work because I was a graduate student at Kentucky when he took them from a complete shambles to one Christian Laettner miracle shot away from the Final Four in three years (this is when Kentucky was under NCAA sanctions). He's nationally known, he has a strong recruiting base in the east, and players love to play for him. As you say, though, ANYBODY would be an improvement.

I'm three points back lying in the weeds (Special Sauce). I lost 3 sweet sixteen teams already, but kept all of my elite 8 and final four teams. I got screwed by San Diego State's point guard not knowing the rules, and by a friend of mine talking me out of picking George Mason over Michigan State. "Michigan State is always tournament ready", my @$$.

It seems to be hit big or lose early with MSU hoops. First round losses now to NC State, Nevada, and George Mason, but 4 final fours and an elite 8 run as well.

I think what happened is that when I posted that I was tied for first was before the results of the Kansas game were posted. We both picked Kansas, and the leader picked Bradley, so that moved him one game ahead.

With LSU losing, I dropped...big time. If Florida wins it all though, I might climb back up some.

I will finish 3rd in both the NSBB Yahoo and Facebook pools regardless of Monday's result. Pretty darn good especially after my hideous flameouts the last two years.
