3/2 ST #1: Cubs (Zambrano) vs A's (Haren) 2PM WGN radio

Youth was certainly served in this game. Cedeno, Murton, Dope, Wuertz, Novoa, Ohman, Greenberg, Pagan, and Pie all with good games. Even McGhee, with a great job moving the runner over in the 9th, and Soto throwing a guy out at second, got the job done.

 

That was Reyes who threw the runner out at second, after pinch hitting for Soto the inning before.

They did. Even Pat & Ron called it Soto when it happened. Spring training games are like that sometimes.

Awesome. The Cubs came back and won this one.

 

1-0 on the Spring.

 

And with the exception of a pitcher who won't likely see Iowa much less Chicago, the Cubs threw a shut-out!

Hmmm....speed on first got the pitcher to throw the ball away and then 2 groundouts and the Cubs win. Slow runner at first and it's a double play. This one reason why Baker needs 11 pitchers and not 12.

Crap. Stupid school. Last year i snuck my radio in, but i cant do that this year because the classes i have during that time frame; The teachers actually want you to pay attention. Whose stupid Idea was that.

 

I sense that this semester I will be perpetrating the college version of sneaking a radio into class; listening to Gameday Audio on my laptop while sitting in a lecture. All part of being a Cubs fan. :D

 

If you are going to sneak a radio into class, sneak it into mine so I can listen to Cubs games while making my students, who love the Cardinals, mad.
