One player who does get any pub and i dont know where he finished in pro bowl voting is John Tait. The dude has been absolutely solid this year switching to LT. LT for the bears has been awful since blake left for the broncos years ago. Tait really has suprised me how well of a LT he is. Played pretty damn good against Peppers and Rice.

Harris, Brown, and Hillenmeyer are all expected to play. I believe Metcalf was also in practice.

That's good news. I'd play a lot of Green, McGowan and Joe too. All looked good last week, but the Bears need the 3 starters healthy for the playoffs.

Surprised the d-line hasn't gone after it yet:

I think they have. That "4" looks like urine.

Nah. A little too green. That wouldn't make sense unless they moved their practices to Zion.

Apparently Urlacher, Hillenmeyer and Brendon Ayanbadejo built it.

Too green is a good thing. That means they have had their recommended daily allowance of vitamins. :D

Trib[/url]"]Coach Lovie Smith knows having Brown back would be good as well, stopping just short of publicly revealing he would play. Brown is questionable, but the surprise would be if he didn't play.

............

Only Ian Scott and Jerry Azumah missed practice, the latter landing on the injury report. Azumah, who also plays in the nickel package, is questionable with the hip soreness that has plagued him all season.

Smith said Rashied Davis, Bernard Berrian and Nathan Vasher would be in the mix to return kicks if Azumah can't.

"We think he'll be OK," Smith said. "It has been a long season. We're trying to rest the guys. We want them as close to 100 percent as possible for game time."

Olin Kreutz returned to practice and was removed from the injury report. The status of Cedric Benson, Chris Harris, Hunter Hillenmeyer, Bryan Johnson, Todd Johnson and Terrence Metcalf remained questionable. All but Benson could see action.

And of course:

The head to the snowman sitting outside Halas Hall for two weeks disappeared Friday. Given that it sported a neon green No. 4 in honor of Brett Favre, might foul play be involved? "It melted," Brown claimed. "See the sun?"

Fisher is going to start for the Packers, not Herron.

Yeesh. Did I just hear someone say that the '85 Bears had just enough offense to get by on the Fox post-game show? Someone needs to do some homework...

By the way, the Fox special on the '85 Bears runs from 2:30-3:30 tomorrow.

Is anyone else as uber pumped as I am for this game??? I don't remeber looking this forward to a game in a long time. I'm going to bust out my brand new Nate Vasher jersey and hopefully watch the destruction of #4.

I hope it wasn't bad luck, but when I went to buy the Vasher jersey Champs Sports had a Bears '05 NFC North championship hat sitting behind the counter...

Oh and is Ced Benson going to get some carries, since he's been practicing. I think adding back to 3 deeeeep at RB will really help.

I'm pretty sure he won't be playing at all.

With the Giants and Pathers losing, a win today locks up the #2 seed behind Seattle and gets them the 1st round bye making the Minnesota game meaningless.

That gives the Bears (like the Colts yesterday) the ability to rest the starters for most of the Minnesota game.

That will be interesting with Grossman who will have only started only 7 games heading into the Minnesota game and needs as much experience as he can get. But, we all know about Rex.

Personally, after the 1st quarter, I'd sit Grossman (Orton), Jones (Benson/Adrian), Moose (Berrian), Metcalf (Garza), and Miller or Tate (St. Clair) as well as Harris (Boone), Urlacher (Joe), M. Brown (Johnson), Briggs (Ayanbadejo) as well as getting R. Davis as a DB.

That's great news but interestingly on Sportscenter last night, an anchor said the Bears can still miss the playoffs entirely even though one win clinches a bye and homefield. Strange.

Move the chains.

FG kicking is going to be a challenge today, though. The field isn't in great shape in the middle.
