Yeah, a loss is probably more likely.

Trib[/url]"]Defensive tackle Tommie Harris is anything but overwhelmed by the specter of playing the Steelers at Heinz Field "[Pittsburgh receiver] Hines Ward has his own field?" Harris dead-panned in awe. "I never heard of it. Harris also called Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger "Bert."

Bert...

I'm convinced that unless Orton has some ridiculous game (100+) QB rating, that he's likely lost his job. Jay Mariotti actually did a good job pointing this out today.

because of this, I think orton either has his best day or second worst day

As a Steeler (don't hate me! one week only, guys) fan, I'm worried about this. Its been mentioned the Steelers don't look good at the moment, that's true enough. I'd be overjoyed to make the post-season the way this year has gone.

The Bears will prove a big test and I don't expect there to be a huge difference between the two.

Flipping a coin-ish, I'd say Steelers, but that might be heart over head....I've not really seen a lot of the Bears this year. (Though to be fair, I've not seen a lot of the Steelers. I hope they show up for this one)

I think with the Steelers weak offensive line, and the beat up Roethlisberger, if we get to Big Burt early, they'll be in for a rough game. That said, I think it'd be stupid not to send at least 5 guys every play to try and get Roethlisberger early. If he starts beating us by throwing on the run or we just can't get to him and it opens up the middle of the field, start only rushing 3-4.

I think Orton goes for 130 1 td 1 int...

TJ goes for 130 1 td

Vasher gets another pick

I wouldn't call it stupid to see if this front 4 can get to him without any help. It's worked so far this year, and Pitt's pass blocking is weak.

The Bears will punt on 1st down every series, playing for field position and keeping the players who score all the TD's on the field

Ugh. Both Brown and Metcalf (separated shoulder) are out according to the AP. Mike Green or Brandon McGowan will start for Brown and Garza will start for Metcalf.

Thats not good. Without the starting safeties we really need the front 4 to get to Roethlisberger quick. A big effort from Tillman, and Vasher would go a long way tomorrow. I am more worried about this game than any since the Bengals game.

Bears still win 16-13.

Not so worried without Harris, but being without Brown will suck. Mike Green is not a good football player. I do have faith that Vasher and Tillman can stick on the smaller WRs of Pitt pretty well. Ward will get his catches on Tillman, but won't beat him for big plays. I like the Bears chances with Vasher taking Randle El out of the offensive plan. I'd watch for the Steelers to go to Quincy Morgan deep a few times, though.

Pittsburgh wins 17-7. Nathan Vasher scores the Bears only TD.

my prediction as well. The Steelers are in a big time must win situation tomorrow. If they lose, their playoff hopes are pretty much down the drain. Bears defense accounts for all of the offense they have tomorrow.

There will be a 50% chance of snow showers during the game.

That seems appropriate, seeing as how there's about a 50% chance that the BEARS offense will score a touchdown !!

Prediction:

Pitt 23

Bears 17

The Bears offense will be better than expected & the absence of Brown & Harris is going to hurt the Bears. The Steelers need this game more & they are @ home.

It's Gameday, people! There are way to many predictions in the Steelers favor. Are the Bears missing key players? Yes. Does orton suck? Yes. Will it be tough to go to Pittsburgh and beat a very good team? Yes. But the Bears have been getting it done all year. They are 9-3. Pittsburgh lost to Baltimore a few weeks back. I know Big Ben was out, but freaking Baltimore! Roethlisberger has been poor at best, and has been a turnover machine lately. Pittsburgh has allowed a running back to go for 100+ yards the last 2 games. Pittsburgh's runing game has been very ineffective the past few weeks. The Bears havn't given up more than 10 points in a game in over a month.

This is a huge game for the Steelers, fighting for a playoff spot, but it is huge for us too. With a loss Minnesota could get to within 1 game of the Bears, and Chicago would fall behind in the race for a 1st round bye.

The Offense, Defense, and Special Teams will find a way to get to 16.

Notes from ESPN.

Brown didn't even make the trip to Pittsburgh.

Smith told reporters that there is no QB controversy. Kyle won't be pulled after one bad series.

Smith did tell Kyle "You have to play better."

Kyle repied "Coach, I never have 2 bad games in a row."

And Michael Irvin says the Bears aren't that good because they havn't beaten anyone.

Lay off the crackpipe Michael.
