here's hoping for Milton Bradley

Here's hoping Milton wasn't listening to AM720. Wow, those clowns all but smacked his grandma in the face. They are horribly down on him.

If we get Bradley, the Chicago media is going to be merciless. Boers and Bernstein were BEGGING for Bradley today on behalf of all columnists and talk show hosts in town.

Yea its going to be bad. What a bunch of bs too. I will lose what respect I have for the CHicago media if they rip him before he even gets here. I dont remember them ripping Carl Everett like they have been Bradlely.

To be fair, Everett had disagreements with his manager and said the Boston fans were racist. Bradley allegedly choked his pregnant wife on separate occasions.

Update from Rotoworld.com

A source told MLB.com that Cubs have emerged as Milton Bradley's top suitor and the A's are no longer discussing a deal with the Dodgers.

That's too bad for the A's, as the rumored Kirk Saarloos deal could have really helped them. Dec. 6 - 9:12 pm et

To be fair, why not give the guy a chance in the city of Chicago before they start calling him everything but an axe murderer which is what they have been doing.

:D Nice call!

I like Bradley a lot. I'll be pleased with this particular move, provided we didn't give up too much to get him.

The Score mentioned earlier a Patterson for Bradley straight up.

I'll ask this hypothetical again: Bradley is a little injury prone. If the odds of him having a meltdown or getting hurt next year are 50/50, would you rather have Pierre than Bradley?

Do you guys think a trade was in place, a PC was scheduled to report it, and then the trade fell through?

That's the only thing I could think of as to the confusion.

I'll take it!

Anyone else think they will play Hairston Jr. to CF, Bradley at RF and call it an offseason?

I like to take risks. I'll take Bradley.

I hope not, but I guess that seems possibly?

No, Phil Rogers was on Comcast earlier saying that the Cubs and DRays have had discussions all day along about a multiple player deal with Huff and Lugo. I dont think Hendry sees Hairston as a starting CF, but more of a fallback or backup 2nd base option.

If Phil Rodgers says it...I don't believe it :)

I hope they don't call it an offseason! And Murton/Huff in the corners is a defensive disaster.

Well, I could have told you guys this was going to happen. I traded Patterson for Bradley straight up in my ESPN 2K5 WSE game. I also have Wilkerson leading off, and Cedeno at short. So I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, you guys could have just asked ME. \:D/

I'd really be shocked if the Dodgers took Patterson straight up for Bradley. I just don't believe that would be the deal. The Cubs would have to include someone else.
