  1. Nice prespective there, Joe Morgan. Ahahahahaha. Zambo. That's an old saying, and it's true in all aspects of life.
  2. Huh? So what did he take exception to? No, you leave your mask on to keep someone from punching your lights out. According to him, the bumping afterwards. Do you actually think Oswalt was going to throw a punch so he could get ejected and risk hurting his hand? No, I don't think he would ever do something that stupid...but Barrett obviously must have thought it. Nah Barrett's got an IQ of 50, there's no way he could've thought of it.
  3. Jermaine Dye's a good guy. And Konerko seems alright.
  4. Because too many people would be hurt in the race to be the driver?
  5. What the White Sox play like has no bearing on how the Cubs play. I don't see the relevance. The Cubs play is embarrassing whether the Sox are good or whether they don't even exist.
  6. Listening to 720 all game, Hughes said AJ was walking to pick up his helmet. That's pure speculation. He may have, he may not have been, Pat Hughes certainly doesn't know any better than anybody else that watched it. Whether you believe it or not (and I am not sure I do), AJ said that's what he was doing on the Fox postgame. The Helmet WAS behind Barrett though. I put negative stock in what Pierzysnki says he did.
  7. They are. Trust me, I'll hear more racial slurs and gay epithets in my time out tonight then you'll probably hear in your entire lifetime. Somebody finally snapping and popping some of the trailer trash in the face does not condemn that person to being trailer trash.
  8. If anyone's getting hit it's a Cub. Pierzynski shouldn't have even been ejected, he did nothing wrong, and if you think he did than you don't know baseball. Hard to take offense over someone raising his hands when Zambrano acts like a fool after every strikeout. Go away. I actually agree with much of what he said. It's hard to get upset over someone slapping home plate when they score when Zambrano dances around whenever he strikes someone out Is there another Zambrano on the team that does a dance every time he strikes somebody out? The Zambrano haters are as bad as the Zambrano apologists. And that guy is blatantly a troll.

  10. The sweet release of death.

  12. I hope that I'm wrong, but can this performance following the fight finally put to rest the talk about needing to fire up the team?
  13. JT Snow is Tony Womack without the speed or eyebrows.
  14. This should really help my hacking mass team. Thanks Jim Hendry. My only hope is that Dusty said the same type of things about Brian Boehringer that he did about Womack.
  15. Let me guess...either brother-in-law or sister-in-law..? Somehow none of the players in this thread strike me as the pretend you know something about them type. How many jollies do you really think he'd get for faking everyone out on Greenberg from AAA to AA? I think it was a legitamate guess. I believe Micah's wife or sibling used to post here or at least lurk, which would make sense that this poster would be an in-law. Either way welcome to the forum Micahfan, I'd like this speculation about my identity when I joined.
  16. Was that the game where he got shot too? With a cannon.
  17. This one time, I saw Pujols get decapitated. Cardinal nation was worried for a minute, but Albert just picked up his head and ran the bases with it in his hand. He played a full 3 headless innings before the trainer was able to reattach it. Somehow I can't see him sitting out because of a groin tearing off its sheath.
  18. The Cubs are 16-22 right now, and have never been to the World Series in my lifetime. I don't really have to search very far to find reasons to complain. But for the record, yes, they have done things that brought me happiness. Ironically enough, I was pretty happy when Hendry got the job as GM. I liked most of what he did with the minor leagues, and I thought his elevation to the top job would have cut down on all the worthless overpaid washed up veterans that were rotating in and out of the clubhouse year after year. I enjoy every victory, as well as any game I get to attend, since I only get to about 6-7 Cubs games a year on average. I also enjoy snide little remarks like yours about what type of fan I am. You also like chicken wings.
  19. Grudz was acquired in a trade.
  20. Replace the mans with dudes and you're set.
  21. I hope Prior pitches a game for the Windy City Thunderbolts. I know it would be quite odd for a team to lease out a pitcher to an independent league team for one of his rehabd starts, and quite possibly illegal, but still, it would be pretty cool for me.
  22. He added a cut fastball in the offseason. I don't know if he'll be a good starter for the rest of the season or not, but surely he was worth more than FAST FREDDY BYNUM. Has Hendry gotten any value for a prospect in the past 2 years? Surely he has - somebody help me. Nomar and Murton for essentially Harris, Beltran, and Jones was great value. Grieve for Pratt.
