  1. I hope there's some sarcasm in there. You dont like that outfield?  5 years ago I would have drooled over the thought of that OF. Not so much now
  2. Drew is a very nice player when healthy, but he still strikes me as a big injury risk. If he can stay healthy, I would love him in our outfield.
  3. I can hear the 24 clock going in my head as I count down the time til the deadline. I also feel like I'm building myself up for a letdown.
  4. I shall always remember his voodoo he performed on the team's bats a few years back prior to a 8 (?) game win streak.
  5. According to my roommate, who's from the Philly area, Eskin is a jerk who has nothing good to say and we should take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
  6. Or as Rotoworld suggested, their fax machine dies :D
  7. I don't think this is possible under posting rules. The winning bidders needs to sign the player. Once the players signed, he can be traded, but that probably needs to wait until after May of the following season to happen, like other free agent signings. According to today's USA Today, back in 1997, the Padres reached an agreement with the Chiba Lotte Marines, and then traded the rights to Hideki Irabu to the Yankees.
  8. From Rotoworld: I always liked him. I wish him well there.
  9. From Rotoworld: Now, we'll just have to wait and see what his destination is.
  10. For me, it was when Palmeiro won. It really showed how worthless the award actually is.
  11. Hahaha, classic. The sad thing is that it sounds like it could very well be the actual interview.
  12. Vernon Wells and BJ Ryan for Felix Pie and Ryan Dempster. Who's with me? :P
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2646282 Not really any surprises except for maybe Grudz.
  14. No way the Braves trade Hudson for Jones straight up. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but the Braves aren't dumb.
  15. What if Jones is in the Sheffield deal? With Matsui, Damon, Cabrera, Bernie Williams, and Giambi, I don't see much of a reason for the Yanks to want Jones. He can't play 1B and would just crowd their OF even more, unless they would in turn deal him for a 1B or pitching help.
  16. Izturis and Restovich are coming your way then! I think they will want more than that. Throw in Augie Ojeda and it's a done deal.
  17. According to Rotoworld, via NY Daily News:
  18. This doesn't mean he won't re-sign with the Cubs. Yes, I know. However, at this point, he'd have to stay injury-free (unlikely) and put up very good numbers to see time in the majors. I still hold hope for him.
  19. That's a shame. I always like Jackson. I always wanted to at least see him reach the majors in a Cub uniform.
  20. Not bad, but seeing as the Marlins probably aren't forgetting what we were willing to give up for Pierre, I think they'd at least want someone like Guzman to make it a trio. imo it's going to take more than willis and eyre. How about in addition to Les Walrond, Mac Suzuki, and Kerry Lightenburg? :D
  21. Yankees get: Dontrelle Willis Scott Eyre Cubs get: A-Rod Marlins get: Sean Gallagher Jae Kuk Ryu
