  2. http://www.users.muohio.edu/rothkr/fdup.jpg You really need to think a little bit before you post, or at least research your topic. As the posters above have clearly explained, Radke has no shoulder. I don't think that was necessary. I agree. Don't attack the poster. It's no big deal that he wasn't aware of the full extent of Radke's injury.
  3. The only thing decent about signing Sturtze is the fact that only 350,000 is guaranteed. So the Braves are wasting very little money, but it is being wasted none the less. When has Sturtze ever been good? He is 36. His career ERA is 5.21 with a career best ERA of 4.42 which was posted 5 years ago. I'm not seeing the draw. He had a descent 2005 in the cards until Torre overworked him and killed his arm, which led to a horrible finish to his season. The over use then led to his shoulder troubles and surgery. I guess the Braves feel if he's healthy he can pick up where he left off for the Yankees. It is a gamble for a guy whos had 2, maybe 3 descent years in his career, but if it doesn't work out it won't hurt them much.
  4. Sparty isn't historically based. He was designed to resemble Jay Leno.
  5. Alex Trabek: ...and you wrote, the letter V. Well, I'll tell you what my friend, V is a roman numeral for 5, so you are in fact correct...

  7. Never played it regularly, but has appeared in 48 career games there.
  8. What about a guy like Bobby Kielty? Granted he's a .256 career hitter, but his career splits against lefties are .299/.382/.518, and would be a good platoon option for Jones, who can't hit lefty pitching. He probably wouldn't cost much and would be a good bench option. Also, we would have he and Murton as the red headed teammates.
  9. Sosa will be on the ESPN Sunday Conversation tomarrow at 11 ET for anyone who is interested.
  10. Well, can't be much worse than Mabry.
  11. I don't want anything to do with Zito for what he is going to get paid. I think Zito benefits a bit from all the foul territory at McAfee Coliseum. Put him in Wrigley and his ERA may hover close to 4. He's a flyball pitcher too, isn't he?
  12. Murton most likely, who I would not want to part with. Beane probably looks at our farm system and laughs. If you're talking about hitting prospects sure. The Cubs don't have much worth parting with. But Beane or any GM would value some of the Cubs younger, long-range pitching prospects. Why would Beane laugh at the best young arms lower in the farm? Well, guess I should have mentioned the Veals, Gallaghers, and Pawaleks of our system. I was just making a point that we don't a strong one. Hopefully, Wilken can change that soon.

  14. Ben Maller of Foxsports wrote today: The Cubs are more likely to trade OF Jacque Jones than Matt Murton, according to a baseball source.
  15. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15976566/ Who should take his place?
  16. It's now official, and these are the listed details.
  17. Neither. Be retro and buy a Nintendo.
  18. Randall Simon is NOT the real "Sausage King of Chicago." I was awaiting your response.
