  1. I'm not surprised by Verlander. I thought it would go to Uggla or Zimmerman, but Ramirez did have a fine season.
  2. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/column.aspx?sport=MLB&columnid=2&articleid=26761 Yuck. They have us signing only Vincente Padilla, Jay Payton and Tomo Ohka, though they suggest trading for Vidro.
  3. *sigh*. This f'in franchise. I'm gonna go hang out with my friends Jack and Jim and try not to think about what just occurred.
  4. I have season tickets, and I'll be in the student section all game getting rained on.
  5. Manny Thanks, fixed.
  6. AL: C- Mauer DH-Ortiz 1B-Morneau 2B-Cano SS-Jeter 3B- Crede OF-Dye, Guerrero, Ramirez
  7. P- Zambrano C- McCann 1B- Howard 2B- Utley SS- Reyes 3B- Cabrera OF- Beltran, Soriano, Holliday AL will be announced shortly.
  8. As a New Jersian, and having rooted for Rutgers for awhile despite how much they have sucked, I am thoroughly enjoying this win. I joked with my roommate that if Rutgers wins, I'd dance around State College in celebration. Derwood would have recognized me as the idiot screaming up and down College Ave. :D I'd have to be drunk to go through with that. Congrats to Rutgers.
  9. I hope there's some sarcasm in there. You dont like that outfield?  5 years ago I would have drooled over the thought of that OF. Not so much now
  10. Drew is a very nice player when healthy, but he still strikes me as a big injury risk. If he can stay healthy, I would love him in our outfield.
  11. I can hear the 24 clock going in my head as I count down the time til the deadline. I also feel like I'm building myself up for a letdown.
  12. I shall always remember his voodoo he performed on the team's bats a few years back prior to a 8 (?) game win streak.
  13. According to my roommate, who's from the Philly area, Eskin is a jerk who has nothing good to say and we should take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
  14. Or as Rotoworld suggested, their fax machine dies :D
  15. I don't think this is possible under posting rules. The winning bidders needs to sign the player. Once the players signed, he can be traded, but that probably needs to wait until after May of the following season to happen, like other free agent signings. According to today's USA Today, back in 1997, the Padres reached an agreement with the Chiba Lotte Marines, and then traded the rights to Hideki Irabu to the Yankees.
  16. From Rotoworld: I always liked him. I wish him well there.
  17. From Rotoworld: Now, we'll just have to wait and see what his destination is.
  18. For me, it was when Palmeiro won. It really showed how worthless the award actually is.
  19. Hahaha, classic. The sad thing is that it sounds like it could very well be the actual interview.
  20. Vernon Wells and BJ Ryan for Felix Pie and Ryan Dempster. Who's with me? :P
