  1. Think there's a good chance the exit velocity of Tauchman' FB was greater than Madigral HR.
  2. Then there's Miami with negative run differential and 11 games over .500.
  3. Being in Michigan I'll occasionally watch a Tigers game, just don't get their announcers obsession with Baez. Defensively he still quite good that's not a problem however, offensively he's terrible, certainly, worse than he was a Cub. I'd be more excited with Riley Greene than Baez. Maybe, it's the wrong take on my part, he's having a good game tonight, defensive gem in addition to a 3-run HR so there's reason to gush over him tonight. Guess I happen hit Baez' good games but, I swear they cream in their pants to Baez.
  4. Did the clock finally strike midnight on the Heat last night? Because straight up basketball they've no chance, in a long playoff season, the pixie dust can enable a team like the Heat to go far. However, at some point, the pixie dust goes dry and it comes down to ability and who has the better players.
  5. Given his lackluster to terrible returns do we really want Hoyer making anymore trades?
  6. In a clean up role with the game out of reach, sure, just wait until Ross brings him into a high leverage situation, he'll find a bat. Unless, of course, the above was a sarcastic quip then, yeah, he's awesome.
  7. Got it, I'm with you, sure improve the linebackers and secondary but, to just pass on the DL like he has is akin to his leaving Fields out to dry last season.
  8. Meant given Poles actions it appears getting to the QB is not a priority hence, the question about his knowledge of the defensive scheme.
  9. There was an earlier posting regarding the Chiefs improvement on defense being correlated with a good secondary and linebackers. Appears Poles is a very big believer in the idea of the defense starting from the back to front rather than front to back. if they improve on stopping the run we may see the benefits of strong secondary helping the pass rush.
  10. Game 1 Nuggets-Heat tonight, while it appears to be a mismatch guess we shouldn't count the Heat out. Still, besides playing well, when one sits back at looks at the extraordinary chain of events that helped get the Heat to Finals. One has to wonder if their luck has run out, besides the mismatches all over the floor, I just don't see the Nuggets checking out for the half of the series nor will they let Strus, Martin, Robinson and Vincent beat them or be so badly out-coached. If I were a Celtics fan I'd be PO that they sat back and let Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent beat them, it was entirely preventable.
  11. Once Codi Heuer is ready to go is Fulmer next?
  12. Have to give Heat credit, thought they were toast, they bounced back, congratulations to them.
  13. It's time to fire Ross along removing Fulmer, Merryweather and Rucker from the pen, while boring, this team is better than it's shown.
  14. Butler' done, the mind is willing but, the body is not. Just don't see how the Heat can win tonight, I don't believe the Celtics are going to struggle from the 3 point line like they did in game 6. Really should have never gone this far, this series has totally been about one team sleep walking their way through the first 3 games than it has about the other team' good play.
  15. On the other hand this was Taillon' best start of the year. I'm guessing he'll continue getting ripped until, towards the end of season, he'll finally manage to put together a few good starts giving us false hope the Cubs are "serious" about winning in 2024.
  16. Surprise, surprise when you need a big out Fulmer does what he does best - find a bat, this clown is dead weight. There's no need to continue to waste a roster spot on him.
  17. That's it, think the Heat blew their wad tonight, do believe they'll much if anything left for game 7. Just can't see all the Heat's undrafted scrubs carrying them to win in Boston Monday night.
  18. Game 6 is the big one, should be the toughest, if the Celtics put forth the effort of the past two games they'll win. The Heat will be toast in a game 7, I'm certain they're going to throw everything they've left to get game 6.
  19. If there's ever going to be an NBA coming back from being down 3 in a 7 game series this Celtics-Heat series may be the one. The Celtics, when they come to play, are so obviously the superior team, they've got a chance.
  20. Was thinking about that as well, do not know if the Heat have anyone capable of guarding him. This and I find it hard to believe the Nuggets will let guys like Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Caleb Martin and an old Kevin Love beat them heck, I find it hard to to believe they're doing so well against the Celtics.
  21. Do really think they'll beat Denver in the finals? I know it's crap shoot however, the Heat is greatly benefiting from playing a badly coached Celtic team who appears they'd rather be doing anything else but, playing basketball.
  22. Right now, there's no one in the bullpen who can come get them a K when it's really needed. Everytime Fulmer, Merryweather, Alzolay or Rucker is utilized in high leverage situation, calling for a K, I know their somehow going to find a bat.
  23. Hopefully the Nuggets will finish off the Lakers tonight, James' act, his flopping, complaining about nearly every call is getting tiresome. Not to mention I'll be glad to see his surrounding cast (save for Davis) of basketball flotsam and jetsam out of the playoffs. Then there's the Heat who quite probably have a less talented collection of basketball flotsam and jetsam than the Lakers yet, to their credit, are going to advance the to NBA Finals. Where their magical run will end, they won't have the good fortune of playing a disinterested team, think there's a real good chance the Nuggets will sweep.
  24. I agree but, he was terrible in spring training, he's thus far been terrible, at this point it doesn't look encouraging.
