  1. I'm not absolving Getsy of blame, he and the rest of the Bears staff is guilty of not recognizing this flaw and putting him in a position to succeed.
  2. What they've done is put those players in a position to succeed, which is what any quality coach should do.
  3. Am as down on Getsy as the rest of us but, I don't know how you can blame him for, despite scheming multiple receivers open, a QB who won't throw ball. Getsy and the Bears staff didn't coach being unable to see open receivers into Fields, and, if he could, they would not be able to coach it out of him. It's all on Fields, they're not brain surgeons, they cannot speed up or slow down his processing.
  4. I know many of us are down on Fields but, he actually did recognize and call out a blitz which resulted in the TD pass to Mooney.
  5. Despite all of Poles messed up moves, he has significantly improved the roster, this isn't a roster of full Taco Charletons, Armon Watts, and Ihmir Smith-Marsettes types, they should have shown better in game 1.
  6. Drafting a safety and for whatever, reason, continuing to stockpile the DB's should have been the first alarm. I don't care how good your linebackers and secondary is, it's all rendered useless if the QB has literally all the time in the world on every passing down. Only someone completely ignorant or so stubborn in sticking to his plan would fail to recognize. Or maybe its an example of him trying to be the smartest guy in the room well, I got news for you, Alfred Einstein, artists create, genius steals.
  7. I see the Marlins are sending Cueto to mound tonight vs. the Braves? Johnny Cueto? Against the Braves? Are you kidding me? Watch it work, because this kind BS nonsense always seem to work for the Marlins.
  8. Watching the game last night it appeared to me Hurts really isn't much better than Fields, I'm certain if Fields was behind his OL or had a more reliable OL he's be just fine. When it comes to offense it's what, 85-90% about your line? What's completely shocking, is Poles, of all people, should know this, he did a good job of putting a line together in KC. Is way out there to think, no matter what, Fields isn't his guy and maybe he didn't like any of Young, Stroud, etc. to pull the trigger in this year's draft? Seems awfully manipulative and cunning to kind of set up a guy for success - DJ Moore, etc., yet fail to fix the most important contributing factor to that success. I'm probably high on coffee, most likely explanation, is Poles is just another dumb horsefeathers in a long line of dumb fucks.
  9. They never will, not for lack of trying, it's just not something they're capable of, our best shot them selling the Bears.
  10. No jumping jacks from lineman and no lineman blocking each other would be an improvement. I think this is certainly fixable.
  11. No doubts about that, how do allow your defense to just lay back in the manner they did last Sunday? Isn't blitzing a young QB making his first start football 101?
  12. Read some articles condemning Eberflus because he said he didn't know why DJ Moore was targeted so few times. Not, that much of vitriol and doom boner-ing isn't deserved but, this is taking to the extreme. I'm certain he pissed as all of us, he's got eyes, he knows they played like crap, failed to execute, etc. But, I don't think he wanted to throw his offensive coordinator and players under the bus, which is exactly what media was looking to bait.
  13. I thought about that as well, the entirety of the Green Bay defense was bunched at the line of scrimmage. Fields gets the pitch goes left and he's gone.
  14. Bad for me today, almost always get tripped on the first column, was proud of my GG choice for the Orioles - Mark Belanger. Of course, Cal Ripken Jr. was the popular choice, thought there was a chance it might have been Brooks Robinson for that one.
  15. That's really the best option, it's the only one that's going instill any confidence in Fields and has any possibility of being effective and sustainable. Hit the horsefeathers button!
  16. I really thought Kmet was going to take the snap and pitch to Fields, that probably would have worked. Just Fields taking the direct snap would have worked, we all should have turned the game off after the idiocy of the first series.
  17. Does any really believe Fields is going to attempt more than 15 passes this Sunday?
  18. I'd say Wright has the best chance, maybe sooner than a couple of years, even in that disaster of game film you see him get beat. But then, when the Packers came back at him with the same design/stunt etc. he handle it really well. Also, on the pick six, beside Fields and Johnson, he was the only other player who hustled, even managed to lay a big hit on Walker.
  19. It's more in FA where he fucked up, still don't get why he didn't hit it harder.
  20. At some point Fields has to hit the horsefeathers it button and start slinging the ball, see even a hint of a window let it rip, I think its his only chance at not being an ex-NFL player come 2024 off season. horsefeathers all the worrying about footwork and all that horsefeathers, be hyper-aggressive, really has nothing to lose.
  21. One thing may help, Claypool being a healthy scratch, his lack of effort is inexcusable, St. Brown and Jones Jr. both suck hard but, they'll give maximum effort. I think deactivating Claypool would send the right message to the team, you can be bad at football but, you should never be bad at trying.
  22. After watching that film how is it conceivable they'll ever score a TD let alone win a game? It looks extraordinarily hopeless, good signing there with Nate Davis Mr. former offensive lineman Poles. Is anyone on the Bears pissed? Anyone, Poles, coaching staff, I don't give a horsefeathers who it is, someone should be.
  23. Until they're sold we cannot expect anything different, this ownership, regardless of how hard they try, cannot get it right. Its a completely frustrating, sad, hopeless, pathetic situation an infinite loop of garbage. It's really amazing always the wrong decision with everything and we know they're not trying to horsefeathers up all the time but, they somehow manage to do so every time.
  24. Given the lack of a pass rush, Gordon' presence or not, doesn't make a bit of difference.
  25. By the way, this whole notion of Caleb Williams or any QB being of weary of being drafted by the Bears is one big load of horsefeathers. The only thing the Bears can blamed for is bad scouting and drafting flawed QB's, they didn't make or create any of their flaws. If they can't coach Justin Fields to speed up processing and read defenses, then, conversely, if Fields had that ability, they, sure as horsefeathers, couldn't have coached it out of him.
