  1. Honestly, the Marlins lineup is...not good. It's an example of the oftentimes weirdness/randomness of baseball as to why they have a winning record.
  2. Lindor with a 2 run HR! If the Cubs can manage a win tonight, with the Marlins getting swept...
  3. I'm there with the benching, as long as it's Getsy.
  4. Didn't Jacque Jones miss a fly ball in Houston? Think I remember Dusty Baker saying something about the ball being too high or some other nonsense as to why Jones missed the ball.
  5. The point is, at the moment, regardless of the plan, the Bears are one gigantic cluster horsefeathers. Something has to be done to make the Bears close to some semblance of an NFL team. Enough of this Benny Hill show we've thus far, been subjected to, this kind horsefeathers is inexcusable. Even bad teams, with terrible QB's can manage to look competent.
  6. I don't know, that's what confusing, Poles' half-assing it for a QB he doesn't see as the future.
  7. That's fine, I'd like to think Poles wasn't on board because he saw the flaws in Fields' game but, also wasn't sold enough on any of Young, Stroud, etc. to pull the trigger. So, he rolled the dice on Fields with an eye on 2024. Though, given his moves, Poles doesn't appear that smart, that's the sticking point. I'd also expect a complete reset on the coaching staff as well, I think there's something to Eberflus being foisted upon Poles.
  8. Thus far, it appears the Bears are intent on running Fields off so Poles is able to draft his QB. Then I'm certain we'll see Poles aggressively try to create best possible environment for his QB, that is, attempt to do all things he should have done for Fields. What a kick in the balls that'll be to Fields. Should that come to pass, I wouldn't mind seeing Fields hook on somewhere and come back to beat the Bears maybe, for added emphasis, in a playoff game. I know it's a business and all but, there are better ways to go about making your QB prove he's the one. Hell, I don't know what's wrong with straight up honesty, I'd said Justin needs to prove he's our QB.
  9. As former coach, okay, it was youth lacrosse, I don't understand this whole narrative around Getsy and the Bears staff not trusting Fields to execute. I had kids of all skill levels, some who could catch the ball, some just starting who couldn't catch the ball, nevertheless, in the drills and games. I always stressed trust in your teammates, keep passing the ball to them regardless of the outcome, sure they'll often drop ball. However, by continuing to show trust in them, they'll eventually catch the ball, helping them gain confidence and good things will happen. Likewise with Justin, there's no reason whatsoever to dial it down, simplify, not try plays for fear of him failing to execute. What's the worst that could happen? They've already lost 13 horsefeathers consecutive games, it's rock bottom, there's no place to go but up. While it's ultimately up to Fields, the staff could help by trying to facilitate his confidence. Because, the staff holding back, etc. will certainly destroy whatever faith Fields has in himself.
  10. I did see that, as you stated he's been more effective of late, so, White Sox 8 - 7 sound good?
  11. On the plus side I'd expect the White Sox will get to Daives and the poor Arizona bullpen for several runs. The Diamondback poor pitching pixie dust only seems to work on the Cubs, the question is - will the White Sox be able to keep them off scoreboard enough to win?
  12. It was a conscience effort on his part to not utilize all the resources at his disposal. As I said either he is dumb as a box of rocks or he knew the roster was at least one more draft away and wanted to see if Fields worked out. Meaning , if Fields bombed he'd have the draft position to pick his QB and add another high impact players.
  13. In addition to all of Fields deficiencies I think cap it off with a lack of confidence, I don't believe he misses every read. I do think he no longer has confidence in anything, when he's tried, every outcome has been bad. It's all blown up in his face, it must be the some of the explanation for why he just holds the ball when receivers are open. The only thing the coaches can is keep giving him the opportunity, that doesn't mean running the ball 40+ times.
  14. Beyond a doubt, rather than attempt to work to Fields strengths, give him something, anything, it's going to be meathead run after meathead run. Really, even if they manage to win I could still envision a cascade of boos if all they do is run the ball.
  15. No, regardless of who is playing, their passive manner, just setting back letting offenses do whatever they wish, who's in or out doesn't make a difference.
  16. For you defensive types out there what's the point of Eberflus playing a soft zone with a DL that can't even breath on, let alone touch a QB?
  17. Well, you know, the city of brotherly love, Liberty Bell and all that, he's probably taking a daily jog to Museum of Art with all the kids.
  18. One thing I'd like to see more snaps for "athletic freak" Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens, they probably both suck. But, might as well give them a shot at continuing to offer evidence that Poles is a poor at the draft.
  19. Just saw some tape of Wright handling Karlfkis pretty well, of course, I noticed Fields just hopping around and getting sacked. There's no question the OL, as banged up as it is, has still managed to provide better pass blocking and, despite Getsy' fucked up scheme, receivers are open. Fields simply refuses to throw the ball
  20. Has Miami lost any fluke ones? Seems all they do is win one run games, about time things even out.
  21. Should this happen I'd be shocked, if assuming its Poles, isn't hyper aggressive in FA and spends nearly every penny of their salary cap space.
  22. I to wanted Fields to succeed, fact is he's highly flawed, the Bears didn't create his flaws, they were just unable to maximize his strengths. Thing I don't get about Fields is it appears he bites on literally everything, every fake by a DB works, I'm certain he sees it on film. He's not stupid, read somewhere he aced all the pre-draft written tests but, the game is too fast for him and fools him all the time.
  23. Success has to be an extremely low bar, at this point, I'll take people lining up properly, no false starts,. Things like Fields hitting open receivers and them catching the ball might be too much.
  24. Breaking with their dumb ass tradition might actually confirm their "anger" and "concerns" BS.
  25. Win or lose if same hot mess we've seen continues, I would think someone Getsy, Eberflus is going be out of job next Monday.
