  1. What's the over/under on combined K's from Mervis/Canario today? 4? I'm going over. I'd like to hopeful but, neither of them have shown a hint of being effective at the ML level.
  2. Right now PCA, Mervis and Canario are automatic outs, don't know how they're going to score runs when potentially a third of the lineup can't hit.
  3. Don't understand that line of betting, if Odunze or Nabers are there at 9 the Bears are taking a WR, Murphy being the betting favorite must be fans putting money on that Bears meathead defense, defense crap.
  4. Someone mentioned Arrighatti is the Astro' Hendricks, quick glance at his statistics suggests he has location/control issues but, plus stuff? Anyone seen this guy throw?
  5. That MF'er has been giving that next to last pitch by Almonte to Astros all night, especially Francis, it greatly aided in him putting up zeros after the first.
  6. Does it appear the Astro' starter has been given the edges of the strike zone more so than Wicks?
  7. Besides Caritini, how about some of that mesmerized the first time facing an opposing pitcher horsefeathers for the Astros today?
  8. Saw a piece about Karnisovas vowing to make changes, admitting DeRozan, Lavine and Vucevic hasn't worked. Honestly, I thought they'd play the injuries card right off the bat.
  9. horsefeathers finally, draft week!!! The real intrigue for the Bears is what happens 2-8, hopefully, after Caleb, there's a run on QB's leaving one of WR for them at 9. I'd really like it to be Odunze if not, Nabers will work.
  10. I hear you, this waiting for 2+ months after the SB to conduct the draft is nonsense.
  11. Home run or not, I've had enough of Canario with his contact issues, it'd be nice if PCA starts to hit soon. Get Canario on the shuttle back to Iowa as soon as possible. Is Cassie a realistic possibility this year?
  12. Game 2, don't think the Marlins have much of a chance against Imanaga, if the Cubs can up 4-5 runs should be an easy victory.
  13. The mistake was letting Canario hit, everyone in the Universe, except for Counsell, knew he was not going to put the ball in play. Have to go Bellinger or Busch for that at bat.
  14. I didn't expect them to sweep the Marlins, 3 of 4 is still a real possibility nevertheless, I hate them losing to a really bad baseball team.
  15. I really like to try someone else as the closer, Alzolay hangs too may sliders.
  16. It's not surprising they lost tonight, kind of thought they would. I'm glad, I'd much rather watch the Heat get smoked by the Celtics than the Bulls.
  17. Watched some of highlights from their last game of the season, Reichel didn't look broken. In fact, looked pretty smooth scoring the first goal of game. Appears there was a slight improvement since he was called back up .2 pts/gm -> .6 pts/gm, don't know if means much for the future or if he'll ever become a good player at least, there was some improvement.
  18. Okay, makes sense, want be with one's girl friend and all, the other stuff, Mayer vibes, is also a factor.
  19. AJ Storr headed to Kansas, no surprise, leave it to Dollar Bill to meet his asking price. Although the Illini were finalists, Storr was giving me some Matthew Mayer like vibes, while his skill set and talent will be hard to replace don't believe Gard was too broken up about him moving on. Nor do I think Underwood is hurting about him committing to Kansas.
  20. Getting swept in Miami, losing all by a run was super annoying, Marlins were an unsustainable 33-14 in 1-run games last year. They were baseball' version of the 2022-23 Vikings.
  21. While the Marlins get a run in some bizarre way probably involving the ball not getting out of the infield.
  22. Marlins are terrible, still don't know how they made the playoffs last season, definitely one of the worst playoff teams in recent memory. Yet, the Cubs keep losing to them, no Soler, no Burger (IL), I think it's safe to say their lineup has not improved.
  23. Anyone else feel like this play-in for Bulls is an exercise in futility? Honestly I rather they lose and get to the make-excuses for-rationalizing-rolling it back-offseason.
  24. I'm glad the Cubs were able to pin the loss on Pfaadt although he didn't pitch so badly. Don't know what it is about this guy, the rest of baseball lights him up but, the Cubs can't do much against him.
