    I believe there's a strong chance of this outcome, certainly not the best of the choices. However, it's far better than keeping Fields and going with a new coaching staff.

    Agreed, given the conditions and Arizona being weak against the run, I'd expect quite a bit of designed QB runs and hand-offs. Should soften them up for deep shots with Mooney and preferably, Scott. Beyond his other flaws I'd say the toughest to deal with is Fields' inconsistency, it's the only factor Getsy has in his defense. While Getsy has been terrible at putting Fields in a position to succeed, I acknowledge it's very difficult to do with someone who cannot be counted on to execute. One series Fields will look good, execute, next series deer-in-headlights taking ****** sacks. Think all it's going to be with Fields is flashes.

    When I've watched Blackhawk games I've seen Bedard put some dimes right on his line mates' sticks only to have the them fumble, bumble it away. Reichel' been the recipient of some of those dimes and of course, has done nothing, why was he picked at 17 in 2020?

    What if the Carolina pick falls to 3? In this case, assuming Maye/Williams or Williams/Maye go 1 and 2, I'd take MHJ at 3 and Fashanu/Alt with the next pick. Then, of course, find an OC that's going to put Fields in the best position to succeed, play call to his strengths and not try to make him into something he's not.

    Horton, Cassie and Shaw - hard pass, not available, Alcantara, Brown or Canario have at 'em.

    Pairing Williams/Maye with Nabers/Odunze/Coleman is ideal but, given Jenkins injury history (got hurt again on Sunday) and lack of availability. I'm wondering if Poles should go with Williams/Maye and Fasahnu/Alt instead. Jenkins is fantastic when he plays but, it's only about 60% of time.

    Heard Kurt Warner question the same thing about the lack using of a middle passing game and using the middle of the field. Screw the Cleveland defense, it was more about the Bears choosing to be non-aggressive and predictable. Come the playoffs someone is going to go after Cleveland and kick the horsefeathers out of them.

    It sure was. Regarding the Bears roster, it gives me hope, if they go ahead and draft Williams or Maye, it's so much better than the typical team at picking #1. All that BS about Williams staying in school if its the Bears will probably not be a thing because it's not a roster with massive holes. Now if it's NE or even Carolina I could see Williams being hesitant they're both further away from the playoffs than the Bears.

    Jenkins getting hurt had a ripple effect, lost him early. had he not been hurt we may have seen a more effective running game. That's not to excuse the terrible, predictable, non-aggressive game plan of Getsy and Fields' poor play.

    Don't believe he's much different from Fields, he, much like Purdy, is the beneficiary of a solid roster and solid coaching. Exchange Hurts/Purdy with Fields and I believe you'd see much better play from Fields along with Hurts/Purdy struggling. The good news is the Bears are solving the roster part of the equation, just need to fix the coaching part.

    I know St. Brown isn't all that great but, his effort and run blocking does make a difference and it's missed.

    Saw some of replays, Fields threw an absolutely perfect ball to Tonyan, too bad it was to him. Kmet probably catches that ball. After seeing the game ending hail mary I don't know how Fields, the team and the coaching staff aren't done with Mooney. The failure to catch that ball is of the sort made by a guy who's checked out and done. I'd make him a healthy scratch, start Scott and elevate a receiver from the practice squad. At least the practice squad player will give a horsefeathers and put forth maximum effort, Mooney' tending towards Claypool in effort and focus.

    Williams is more of extend the play, sounds like he's potentially better than Fields at processing, beat blitzes whereas, Maye is looked upon as less of a creator and more of a pocket passer. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/drake-maye-draft-scouting-2024/ - Maye is a measured, precise, and instinctive passer who can test defenses in the intermediate and deep ranges. In fact, one of Maye’s most exciting traits is his actionable field vision and anticipation. He identifies leverage advantages in coverages instantly, and he can capitalize just as quickly. Maye actively uses his eyes to freeze DBs, has an understanding of how to open the field at his will, and has the rocket arm to take advantage. And he can also multitask and manage space in the pocket while processing the field.

    In totally Bears move if Eberflus and Getsy are retained I believe they'd fair better with Maye than Williams.

    Despite being in the Williams/Maye camp I'd still like to see Fields have a good game against the Packers while beating those fucks. I'm so tired of seeing Bears QB's and their offense cramp the bed vs. the Packers, the Packers are not some defensive juggernaut. It's been more inconsistent bad play on Fields part than anything.

    It's the perfect storm of flawed QB and OC's incompetence magnifying those flaws instead of working to his QB strengths.

    Yes, I don't think it would hurt to start getting Scott more snaps in his place, might as well give him a chance.

    Beyond all the other crap, the Bears possession while tied at 17, first play, Getsy calls a crack-block to Herbert that puts them behind the chains. That's where the game was lost, I don't know if it's a "trust" issue with Fields, or Getsy' trying to outsmart the defense or Getsy' just plain stupid. Why not keep the ball with Fields, get him on the move, looking to make a play with his arm or legs? Fields has his flaws however, it's painfully obvious Getsy is not the OC that can put him in the best position to succeed. If, unfortunately, the Bears do not end with the first or second pick and Fields is retained, Poles has got to find an OC that can play call to his strengths.

    I don't give a horsefeathers how much Eberflus has kept them together or earned his players respect. Fact is he's a terrible at coaching, this game alone is evidence, why weren't they coming at Flacco with bliztes on every down? Flacco can't move, he's a statue out there, I'd take my chances getting him before he throws the ball.

    Just don't understand what's going on, opposing defenders are head hunting Fields, looking to hurt him. All this going on right in front of those horsefeathers zebra's faces and yet, they just keep those flags in their pockets.

    Bears can jettison Mooney along with Fields, both of them need to be gone.

    I'd do that in a heartbeat, not certain PCA is going to hit at the major league level and Wesneski type arms are a dime a dozen. In fact I wouldn't be hesitant to trade any or all of PCA, Merivs, Canario, Alacantara for proven players, none of them is going to amount to more than a replacement level bat.
