  1. The Bears aren't that far away, there's talent and more will be added in the offseason. Williams or Maye are coming to pretty decent roster, built to be competitive now.
  2. Pretty obvious Eberflus, Fields et. al. need to go, horsefeathers all this "stability" nonsense, that only works with GOOD coaching staff.
  3. If the Packers have to go to Dallas they'll lose by 10+, won't even be close.
  4. Maybe its best it ends with the Packers running out the clock, save us from a Fields int.
  5. Get some pressure on Love and he'll throw a pick.
  6. Continues to hold the ball, it's never going to change or improve please, please let this be his last half of football as a Bear.
  7. Fields three and out after a score in queue.
  8. We both know there's little to no chance of him balling out in the second half. We'll continue to see the same old horsefeathers from Fields hopefully, for the last time as a Bear.
  9. The Bears finally managed to get to Love a little and guess what, he missed his throws, should have thrown a pick. I stand by predication that the Bears will turn him over.
  10. Pressure continues to come over the center why aren't they moving the pocket?
  11. Fully expect the Bears to run all over the Packers and turn Love over a few times but, ultimately, because of Fields ineptitude vs a zone, lose. It'll be something stupid, Fields will be unable to make a zone read that an average NFL QB would be able to execute and miss a wide open Moore for a game winning TD. In the process Fields will answer the question as to whether or not the Bears should move on from him.
  12. Illini hung in there, seemed a little shell shocked at the start, came back out scoring Purdue by 10 in the second half. Sure would have liked to see what how the game would have turned out with TSJ in the lineup. Think he would have been able to exploit Edey' slowness by driving to the hoop before Edey could get back. Nevertheless, Purdue is very good, should win the Big Ten and do well in the tournament. Speaking of Edey I read he still has eligibility remaining? He's too slow and unskilled for the NBA, might as well run it back.
  13. Watched it as well, don't get his problems with Moore and Kmet both, have put up big time numbers. I will give him credit for questioning why Fields isn't getting any roughing the passer calls, it's beyond ridiculous, defenders have been given the OK to target Justin. Being the last game, I'd like to see Eberflus go ape-horsefeathers crazy all Ditka on the officials if Justin absorbs other cheap shot without a call.
  14. Just don't see Poles passing on Williams or Maye. If Fields had taken a giant step forward in the passing game maybe you trade the pick for a haul of resources however, Fields improvement in the passing game was, at best, incremental.
  15. All the Buie, tough Northwestern defense talk notwithstanding, I didn't think the Wildcats had much of a chance tonight. Illini just too big, too long and talented for Northwestern hopefully, they can hang in there against Purdue on Friday.
  16. Exactly, Williams or Maye is not walking into Carolina type situation, either one of them is going to have Kmet, Moore and Odunze/Nabers/Coleman as targets behind a decent/improving line with a good stable of running backs.
  17. I like to see Poles go Maye and Nabers/Odunze/Coleman with the first round picks then, look at OL with the second rounder he'll get for Fields.
  18. If the Packers win tonight that sets up a win and in game against the Bears next week. Wouldn't mind seeing Fields break the seal in addition to knocking the Packers out of the playoffs.
  19. Given Fields has done nothing but crap the bed vs. the Packers I'm not expecting much however, it sure would be sweet if he could lead the Bears to victory over those piss-heads.
  20. Oh, he's a tight-wad, told us so with his winning the off-season BS. Well, the Dodgers are winning/won the off-season and they're going to win the regular season Jed.
  21. Jed' apparent MO of waiting until a given players' market dries up may work. But, won't Boras have clients hold out just as long? Effectively creating a stalemate? Speaking of Boras' clients what's the deal with Hoskins? Coming off season missed due to injury, he's got to be in the "prove it" mode, what's the strategy to him holding out? He hasn't any leverage.
  22. I sincerely doubt it, no way in the world Jed was going to commit to the money and years, not a chance.
  23. I'd really like to see Purdy or Hurts and Fields switched, while Fields has flaws I believe, neither Purdy or Hurts are significantly better. They're beneficiaries of a strong supporting cast and superior coaching which, I guess, are examples of build up the roster/coaching staff and a QB will succeed.
  24. Wouldn't be too worried Fields taking off, he may improve a little with an OC who's going to maximize putting him in a position to succeed. The same problems will still hold him back, holding onto the ball too long, fumbling, etc.
