According to strike zone that called first strike to Mastrobuoni was higher than ball three to Suwinski, excellent. So ready, for umpires and their subjective strike zones to be replaced.
A Cubs pitcher not throwing batting practice and, guess what, Pirates lineup is terrible, who would have thought? Disappointed in the Cubs vs Falter so far, they hit him pretty hard last time out.
Tomorrow it's the Cubs turn to be on the plus side of a pitching mismatch, not quite the mismatch today was but, close. For day, at least, I predict the Cubs' bats will come alive vs. Falter.
If there's ever a point where everyone is healthy there's no reason to give Hendricks anymore starts. You can't afford to have every fifth game to be basically a forfeit.
Alozay is this season' Fulmer, only worse, has already given up 6 HR's, Fulmer gave up 7 in 57 IP last season. Nearly every at bat Alozay manages to hang a slider or fail to properly locate a FB, meatball after meatball, just like Fulmer.
I've complete faith Hendricks will not even be remotely effective today, he'll get shelled by a piss poor Pirates lineup. Then, maybe, it'll finally be the end for him.
