The Brewers will unveil new Sunday home uniforms during a live broadcast event at Miller Park next week.

Yount, Sveum and fellow Brewers alumni Jerry Augustine, Jim Gantner, Larry Hisle and Gorman Thomas will be familiar with the new alternate uniforms. The Brewers are expected to feature their popular "ball and glove" logo, which was featured from 1978-1993 and "witnessed" some of the best seasons in franchise history.

Always liked the old logo. I'm interested to see what they'll look like.

Be it the Brewers or any other team that continues to change uniforms makes me thankful for teams like our Cubbies, Detroit, Yankees, BoSox... Teams that don't have to change the logo and uni's every other year.

Carry on Brewers...

I had no clue there was an M and B in the ball and glove until like last year. I'm a fan of the logo.

If you look real close, there is a ball in the center of the glove :)

I figured it out a bit before that, but I had seen that logo for years and years before one day I looked at it and said "Hey! There's an M and a B in there! Cool!"

I was in middle school when they got rid of the old logo, and hated the new one.

And why does it just have to be for Sunday home games? Why can't it be for all games?

I've been pretty disappointed in all the non pinstriped Cubs jerseys in recent years. The current blues are hideous. The red billed cap is clownish. The road grays are hardly a classic.

Sure, but the only team that hasn't changed uni's has beent he Yanks, for... well, obvious reasons.

Only the Braves, Tigers, Red Sox, Cardinals, and Dodgers have had relativley consistent uniforms. It's pretty cool that only 5 teams have been traditional. The Giants, Pirates White Sox, Phillies and Orioles haven't changed too much, but aren't nearly as traditional as the first 5.

TBS, for teams with little tradition, the Brewers are smart by bringing back a very popular logo. I still think the Brew Crew is pretty cool... even though they could beat us out for the WC next year.

The White Sox might have had the most drastic set of changes of any team out there. That move to gangsta inspired black and white was a major change. And both Philly and the Pirates have had major overhauls.

I understand, I dislike the "softball" jersey look and frankly don't like the road uni's. However, on a beautiful summer day when the boys take the field at Wrigley in the home Pinstripes. There is nothing better!

Go Cubs!

Oh man I can't wait to see the "ball and glove" in action. That is definately my favorite logo of all time.

Wow, I didn't realize it wasn't used since 93

I hope its not against the law to post a WSI link here

White Sox jersey history

I know the Sox have had some drastic changes, but the "script" Sox logo has been on jerseys throughout their histories. Yeah, they've tried some ugly, dramatic stuff, but so have the Pirates (painters hats, anyone!?).

I wasn't suggesting the Sox are a traditional team, but they haven't seemed to completely abandon their "history" through uni changes. That's all.

I'd like to see the Cubbie face that went away in the late 80s or early 90s come back.

I also wouldn't complain if they wore the white with pinstripes every game.

Also, upon further consideration and reflection, that old Brewers logo is really cool. I just noticed that the glove is made up of 'm' and 'b'

Personally, I'd wish we'd return to these unis.

I thought TPTB might be considering a return to the navy blue when the latest BP shirts came out, but that's gone nowhere.

Holy Jesus the glove and ball are formed out of an M and B!!!! (Seriously, I didnt see it until people mentioned it in this thread)

I like all the powder blue jerseys (Cards, Phils, Brewers, Expos).

My favorite Cubs away jersey was either the '80s one, with the Blue top and the white pants, with the Cubs logo on the left breast that said Cubs, not just the C, or the gray one with the red stripe under Chicago. And bring back the pullovers, I don't like the buttons.
