I think you have to give yourself a chance to make a play. I'm not saying a 25 yard pass, but at least a 10-15 yard slant or something and hope that your WR could break one. I'd have more confidence in my WR making a catch and run for 22 yards than my RB breaking a 22 yard run, especially with how quick our defense is against the run and how inconsistent Tillman is.

That's how guys like Nathan Vasher make their money. Foolish O-coordinators trying to get an impossible 3rd and long and QBs forcing throws into coverage on said 3rd and longs.

3rd down for Chicago. A 3 and out would be great for us.

"Virtually a mistake free game."

Guh? Remember the dropped passes?

The protection from the o-line is still great.

Another completion to Gage!

John Fox at the half 'We have beat ourselves" . Yea the Bears D has nothing to do with that, gimme a damn break...

Justin Gage having a breakout day today!

Jake's two picks were both unforced errors. Without them it's 3-0. I'm pretty sure that's what Fox meant.

ha they have beat themselves. Those 2 INT's by Vasher weren't "great picks." They were just terrible throws by Delhomme. 10 of the Bears 13 points came off those 2 picks too. Carolina has beat themselves so far.

He was being pressured on both those picks, those picks were a result of the Bears front four.

He was not so pressured as to have to throw terrible balls. You're giving Jake too much credit to not think he could throw a bad ball without pressure.

Who's that idiot #19 and why does he think he can bat the ball out of the endzone and have it not be a touchback?

And if the Bears recievers hadnt dropped so many passes in the first half this game is more than a 13-0 score. It works both ways, the Bears D is dominating this game plain and simple.

Oh, stop making excuses. Your team is getting beaten rather handily by a very good team.

Why don't you stop playing up the Bears to be gods? Yes, their defense is playing extremely well, but if Jake doesn't throw two TERRIBLE passes, it's 3-0 Chicago. And he's been off all game even with time.

Why do you keep playing up the Carolina offense to be this amazing machine that can't be stopped by any defense, let alone the top one in the NFL?

No you are just not giving the Bears D enough credit.

Travelle Wharton (Panthers LT) should be fired. No matter how good Alex Brown is there is no excuse for letting him by that much.

This team is self-destructing.
