You're both wrong, it's Two-Face. Hopefully Bruce comes up lucky on the coin flip.

Time to send out the Bruce Signal.

I believe The Penguin has Bruce suspended over a vat of boiling oil.

Or is it The Riddler?

It must be the Riddler because I wouldn't think that Ron Cey would have anything against Bruce.

How many more "Bruce/bat signal" comments can one message board take?

A lot. Bruce is our Batman. He saves us from the untruths of most of the national media!

Got to use the vacation time at some point or else I lose it. I'll be back in the fray at the beginning of next week. I'll be attending the winter meetings, as usual, too. Hang in there.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Bless you, sir. :D

Enjoy the vacation.

Enjoy yourself. And talk to Beinfest about Caberera instead of Pierre.

Thanks.

I'll take your place at the Herald for you Bruce (during your vacation).

It would just be propaganda towards various players.

Bruce Miles was on and he said that there is about a 40% chance the Cubs trade for Pierre and that number is falling. The Marlins are seeming less interested. He also said theres about 50-60% chance of Furcal coming. He thinks the best fit would be Giles to bat 2nd in front of D Lee.

I don't really want Giles 2nd. I'd rather have him 3rd. Giles would have the highest OBP, so you want your power (Lee, Ramirez) getting the cracks at knocking him in. But Giles also has the ability to knock home some runs. In a perfect world, the Cubs would have a 1-2 combo (Furcal and Walker/Murton) who could get on base 35% of the time in front of Giles, Lee, and ARam. Giles between the 2 RHs would be nice, but I'd rather Lee and/or Ramirez hit with a runner on 40% of the time, than Ramirez and/or Murton/Barrett/whoever.

Furcal

Walker

Lee

Giles

Ramirez

Murton

Barrett

Patterson

Pitcher

Would be a pretty good team/ lineup card. Giles may hit more homers at Wrigley, and wouldn't always be on for Rammy and Murton/Barrrett. :)

If Giles signed with the Cubs, then I would want him batting 2nd unless there were two top of the order hitters brought in, or 1 was brought in and Walker stayed at 2nd.
