I believe DePaul was the only team we had in the tournament that didn't make it. I'm not sure how we did on seedings, but I remember we had Vermont and Louisville overseeded, which looks like they turned out to be the right calls.

Looking for last year's thread so I can figure out how I did it...wouldn't mind doing it again, though.

Oh, right, last year's thread is gone...blast! I'll try to find the documents I had last year :).

Found some of my stuff. DePaul was the only team we missed last year, and that was our last team in, so we were pretty close. Not sure who got in that we missed.

As for a plan for this year, this is the article I based things off of last year: Inside the "bunker"

Sometime tomorrow I'll start a thread about it, along with some statistical materials for each team so that those who are interested can have some stuff to read to learn about all the teams.

Speaking of DePaul....any of you Chicago people going to see the Syracuse game?

If DePaul played at the UC, I'd do my best to make a few games a year. But All State Arena is a terribly inconvenient location for me. Just thinking about getting on the Kennedy heading towards the airport during rush hour makes me lightheaded.

i haven't really followed DePaul much this year but I know tonight's game is a must win for them. Can anyone tell me what it will take for them to reach the Big East tourny?

I could be wrong, but I think they're eliminated already.

I suppose that's one reason it's nice to be in a small city, we never have traffic like you guys do.

wow, depaul is putting the beat down on the Orange...

Speaking of which, Flames, I was wrong about DePaul being eliminated from Big East tourney contention. They can get in if they beat ND on Saturday (please don't) and Providence loses to Marquette on Saturday (likely).

no, I guess they aren't out of it..they have to beat ND on the road on Saturday though.

I can't believe how good DePaul's offense looks tonight.

Umm, apparently the Cal Golden Bears come out to Skee-lo's "I Wish." That's hilarious.

I wish I was little bit taller,

I wish I was a baller

I wish I had a girl who looked good

I would call her

I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat

and a '64 Impala

Sorry 'Cuse, I'm just stunned about the outcome. DePaul shot 16-28 from 3pt range, and I'm almost positive shot over 70% in the second half.

Oh my goodness. UCLA doesn't score the last 7 minutes of the first half and Cal goes on an 11-0 run to take a 31-20 lead at the half. We're going to lose the conference because these fools can't stop turning the ball over and playing like crap on offense.

Doug Gottlieb has a serious man-crush on Squeaky Johnson.

UAB up 7, with 20 secs left.

I don't. That bastard Squeaky ruined my bracket by single-handedly knocking UK out a couple of years ago.

UAB won. Wow. I'd think that pretty much kills Memphis's #1 seed.

So they'd get in as the final seed and get humilated by UConn or Villanova. Great!

Cal hits the opening shot of OT for 3, and then UCLA scores the last 12 to win the game 67-58. UCLA clinches a share of the Pac-10 title - Washington is 1 game behind and still has a chance to tie. Edited by CaliforniaRaisin

The top 4 get byes. The 12th seed would play the 5 in the 1st round, and as that stands currently it would be Georgetown. Actually, I'd prefer that to playing Marquette, the 6, so I hope we don't succeed in passing Rutgers for the 11th spot, which we could do if we won and they lost their last game.

I'm becoming more annoyed with Taquan Dean by the day. If he doesn't hit that buzzer-beating shot to send the game with ND to OT, the Irish are 10th instead of tied for 12th and are staring a game with Seton Hall down.
