This is a bad UK team, they did better offensively, this team has no business shooting 22 3s.

There's a good possibility they might not make the tourney, coaches get canned for that. (I would not though)

1st time since Sutton that a non-1st year coach has not made the tourney.

KU just lost to K-State. If it were on the road, I wouldn't be that concerned, but it was a home game. Ugh.

While it would have been fun to have both teams undefeated in the conference going into Monday, I'm happy with any result that pulls other Big XII teams towards the middle of the pack. Having a team of kU's caliber lose a home game helps too.

How disappointed are KU fans w/Self?

I LOVE Bill Self!!!! Was supposed to go get fitted for a tux today, but was too hungover. Got to watch something I haven't seen since I started college at KSU in 95! WOO!!! What a day!!!

I'm not really disappointed at all...yet. As young as this team is, I expect them to be off and on. The lack of upperclassmen talent is more Roy's fault than anything. He had a bad habit of recruiting every other year, and the result is no juinoir or seniors of impact whatsoever. It's kind of put Self behinf the 8-ball, IMO.

As for last year, I think Self could have done a much better job of creating a more unified team, but I'll give the guy a pass for one early tourney exit. Lord knows ROy had his share with far more talented teams.

Today's game made me wonder if Rush really is NBA ready, though. He was pretty ineffective.

You can't travel if you're dribbling the ball. Understand that, refs.

Mizzou loses to Colorado because of a BS call with 8 seconds to go. Unreal.

That was a BAD call, but a GREAT DAY today when I get to see Mizzou lose and KSU beat the Chickens!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe we'll see a streak like that again.

Terrible terrible terrible.

Absolutely infuriating. Also infuriating was CU making 13 three point shots. I would've rather McKinney lost the ball for a layup then have the ball taken out of our hands like that.

UCLA blows a 15-pt lead at home and loses to Washington. :(

Another injury - freshman Alfred Aboya hurt his knee (one he's had two surgeries on already). Starting C Lorenzo Mata is out through the regular Pac 10 season (8 weeks) with a broken leg. And Jordan Farmar has no shot now because he's playing through his ankle injury. These injuries really suck.

Well, ND finally won a Big East game in the new superconference - the bad news is it was over probably the worst team in the league in Providence. Got to head to Marquette on Friday.

Ball State loses another tight one to Miami by four. That makes four games (5 if you want to count the Butler loss) where Peyton Stovall would have made a difference. It's going to be a long year in Muncie. :(

You just have to play one game at a time and win all the ones you can to wiggle into the top 12 of the BE.

It's Syracuse vs UConn time tonight. Mac always struggles against UConn so Devendorf has to pick it up against the man to man.

Beautiful:

Bravo: To Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt, who verbally scalded the handful of North Carolina State students taunting Tech's Theodis Tarver for having his academic eligibility dismissed, then restored.

Safety school: Hard to believe those idiots taunted Tarver about academic anything. Um, hello? He goes to Georgia Tech. You go to N.C. State.

That was the greatest sporting event I have ever attended. I saw Cubbies75 living it up on the floor after the game.

Unbelievable. Like you said, greatest sporting event I've ever attended. Thomas Gardner is amazing. So many ups and downs. Wow.

I was living it up on the court, what a game!

kU STILL has never won in the Mizzou Arena!

What a game! I watched from Big 12 (you freshman will enjoy that place once you're 21) and oh my GOD was that an amazing game! Wow, what a great start to my last semester!!!

Awesome game but noticed a couple of things. First after Gardner tied it with 5.6 to go KU inbounds it and dribbles twice before the clock started again. Nice job home clock operator. Second referees are told to never make a call on a last second play to determine the game. Especially on a clean block. For a minute I thought that game was being played at the PHOG.

Yeah I read that after the game, but apparently all the fans were too into it to notice. Good thing it didnt come back to hurt us.

When it happened my mom was even yelling about it towards the tv. Oh yeah, Quin is the coolest coach in the buisness. As he was being interviewed at the half he just blew off the sideline reporter not looking at her at all, kinda like how the big man on campus would a nerdy girl. I bet he is different when it is Erin Andrews though. Man I am starting to really like the Quinner.

People just love to hate on Quin. He's the man. I hope he stays.

Yeah he has had one year where he lost his team, the year two years ago when you guys were pretty loaded and lost in the first round of the NIT. But really he coached pretty well against us last year as you guys played us pretty close, he alwyas beats KU at least once a year, and he looks like a young Ray Liota. How can people not like this guy? I wanna hang out with him.
