2 of the Nets last 3 losses have come at the hands of the Bulls :)

Don't overlook Atlanta, they play well at home, Joe Johnson is a beast, and the Bulls came off a draining effort yesterday. This is a definite trap game, and I have a bad feeling about it.

I wish we had Joe Johnson. We obviously need this win but don't forget that Philly is at Jersey, so they are sure to lose, especially given the fact the Bulls just beat the Nets. I hope we can get that 6 seed and play the Nets in the playoffs. I think we could at least go 6 or 7 with them.

Bulls were the last team to beat the Nets before they ripped off 14 in a row as well, but they came out flat tonight in Atlanta. Understandable. Luckily Gordon didn't, he has 13 midway through the 2nd and it's a 4 point Hawks lead.

Tied at the half. This lineup finished the half for the Bulls:

Schenscher

Basden

Randy (aka the bad) Livingston

Jannero Pargo

Malik Allen

I feel like I'm watching an NBDL game here.

it's pretty sad when Jannero Pargo can say he is the best player on the team that is on the court.

With 11 and 7, Noc is closing in on his eighth straight double-double. I don't think it can be overstated how ridiculous that feat is for a guy his size.

Agreed. Noce is really turning it on when the Bulls need it.

Bulls win 96-90 :D Philly up big though and Indiana already won..Milwaukee up by 8 in the 3rd too.

We play the Wiz on Friday while the 76ers have to play the Heat on the road :)

Bulls just can't catch a break, as Bucks, Pacers and Sixers all win.

Up next for the Bulls is Washington on Friday and Miami on Sunday

Up next for the Sixers is Miami on Friday and Orlando on Saturday

All of a sudden, Washington is coming back to the pack as well.

The Washington game is really important Friday, because I believe if the Bulls win that game, they win any tiebreaker situation among those 5 teams. The Sixers lose all tiebreakers.

Edit: My mistake, Milwaukee wins all tiebreakers. Bulls are second if they win.

Bulls win!

And Gordon ties the record by going 9 for 9 from beyond the arc. Wow. And his 9th won it.

that was an absolutely unreal 4th quarter. What a huge win for the Bulls. We are now only 1 out of 5th, 6th, and 7th and we have a 1 game lead over Philly as well as the tiebreaker.

That was a really good game. Too bad the Bulls have no interior defense. When Brendan Haywood is owning the paint, you have a glaring problem that needs addressing this offseason. Paging Ben Wallace....

Had there not been a Cubs game on to distract me, I would have had about 25 posts tonight that went something like this:

OMG BEN GORDON <3 <3 <3

BEN GORDON I LOVE YOU

BULLS = BEN GORDON

That was one of the best games I've seen since...Ben's single-handed demolition of Indiana in the 4th. :D

Bulls now would have to tank it to lose the 8th spot (now 1 game up with tiebreaker with 3 games left) and are still only 1 game out of 6th!

And they can still finish .500 for the season.

1 out of 5th too and we own the tiebreaker on the Wiz as we took 3 of 4 from them in the season series :D

Everything you wanted to know about the playoffs (and some stuff you probably didn't care about):

Tiebreaker scenarios - Records vs. potentially tied teams:

Bulls: 3-1 vs. WAS, 2-2 vs. IND, 2-2 vs. MIL, 2-2 vs. PHI, 2-1 vs. ORL (1 remaining)

Wizards: 2-2 vs. IND, 0-2 vs. MIL (1 remaining), 1-3 vs. CHI, 2-2 vs. PHI

Pacers: 2-2 vs. WAS, 2-2 vs. MIL, 2-2 vs. CHI, 2-1 vs. PHI

Bucks: 2-0 vs. WAS (1 remaining), 2-2 vs. IND, 2-2 vs. CHI, 3-1 vs. PHI

76ers: 2-2 vs. WAS, 1-2 vs. IND, 1-3 vs. MIL, 2-2 vs. CHI, 1-2 vs. ORL (1 remaining)

Magic: 1-2 vs. CHI (1 remaining), 2-1 vs. PHI (1 remaining)

Weirdest scenario: The Bulls win the tiebreaker vs. either Philly or Orlando, but if there's a 3-way tie for the 8-seed, Orlando wins the tiebreaker (overall head-to-head) and the Bulls would be left out.

If there is a 5-way tie for the 5-seed, the seeding would work out as:

- IF Milwaukee beats Washington...

5. Milwaukee

6. Chicago

7. Indiana

8. Philadelphia

9. Washington

- IF Washington beats Milwaukee...

5. Milwaukee

6. Chicago

7. Indiana

8. Washington (better conference record than Philly)

9. Philadelphia

If the Bulls tie just a single team, they win the tiebreakers vs. Washington (head-to-head), Philadelphia (conference record), and Orlando (conference record). They lose to Milwaukee (division record), and Indiana (division record). However, the Bulls beat Indiana in tiebreakers involving other teams from outside their division (Washington, Philly), due to a better conference record.

Confused yet? :)
