I am not sayin that they didnt catch a few breaks, the ball in the dirt and dye not really getting hit. But they also took advantage of both of those breaks and won the games. Lots of teams would not have scored in either of those situations. They are playing good ball right now, and would have won it all without those breaks is lal i am saying. I understand your hatred for them and i would hate them too if i was a cubs fan. All i am saying is that they have clearly been the best team in the playoffs so far.

as much as i am hating this, its also kinda funny. i checked out whitesox.com to see what was happening at their site, and there were definitely fans of multiple teams saying that nobody besides them cares about this world series. it is kinda humorous to see a royals fan talking smack right about now. oh well, at least their dream season will be over and they will have nothing to look forward to in a few weeks. i personally am just happy the season from hell is finally about to end.

I will admit this much: the field seemed rather weak this year. I didn't see the true powerhouse teams that usually make the playoffs.

The Yanks & BoSox were mere shadows of their former selves. The Angels were good, but not great and they had Colon injured. The Cards were injured and choke-happy.

The Braves were the Braves. Choke-o-matic.

The Padres were the weakest team to ever make the playoffs I've ever seen.

So the Sox pretty much had it easy. That said though, I'm convinced the White Sox were the best of the playoff teams this year. Even though in many other seasons they probably would have been beat, this year they seemed to be the best overall club.

Congrats to them.

Everything aligned perfectly for them this year. I just pray to God that next everything aligns perfectly for us and other teams stars get injured and we catch every break imagineabl e and that we take advantage of every break.

I agree with you 100%. The field almost resembled, dare I say, an NFL playoff crapshoot with the White Sox looking like the Patriots.

I'm surprised people are still wasting energy pulling for the Astros. Since the end of game 2, I've already accepted the fact the White Sox are going to win. Makes watching these last two games a hell of a lot easier.

Congratulations White Sox. Let the looting and rioting begin.

That's priceless. We've got to give the Royals fans props, not many fans of bad teams would have the stones to talk smack to the Sox fans right about now.

The Sox and Astros have two of the smallest and weakest fan followings in sports. It may be that this is the biggest "who gives a crap" WS in recent memory.

It speaks volumes about this series that an inordinate amount of time was spent talking about the Cubs. ESPN kept covering it from a Cub fan's perspective, Ozzie whined about the Cubs, interviews with Sox fans always seemed to have a Cub question in there. The media's desperate attempt to get a marketable team in there I guess.

Probably already posted, and forgive me if it was, but Ozzie is now upset that Dusty is not cheering for the Sox in this series. I can't honestly understand why he would be upset. Guillen went as far to say that he thought him and Dusty were friends. What an idiot.

Television viewership for the opening two games of the World Series sank to record lows, but Fox Broadcasting was still able to claim ratings victories, according to Nielsen Media Research figures released Tuesday.

Everyone take solace in the fact that they wont get to celebrate in Chicago. I know that's all I'm happy about right now. Oh, and the end of this season.
