NOOOOOOOO. I have it on the screen but it apparently isn't in my all inclusive package and I need to pay extra to watch the game.

There's only a half hour left anyways.

If I see Felix, I'll let him know you didn't think he was worth the money.

While doing a search, I came across an article about how the Dominican League signed a multi-year deal with ESPN Deportes last year.

Courtesy of Google's page translator, I found this pic of Felix Foot:

Showing off his guns.

Looks like you can listen to their games live on their website. Anyone wanna give that a shot next time?

I forgot what kind of talent they have in the Dominican League?

I know Joel Guzman - the Dodgers top position prospect - is down there. He's playing 3B for the winter.

AND I GET ESPN DEPORTEST AT WORK! But I work in the evenings. :(

You should just go to work in the afternoon.

His arms are literally twice the size they were for Lansing.

If he is playing baseball during the winter how is that possible?

That picture may be from last winter, but still, I can see how his power numbers were/are on the rise. And I'm sure he had plenty of time to lift while rehabbing.

Yeesh.

It was from last winter, I've seen that pic around the Internet this year.

At this time of the winter, it is mainly prospects and Dominican veterans who didn't pan out in pro ball here in the states. Later in the season, a lot of MLB regulars will head down there and play for the teams.

Felix Pie will be the player everyone wished (wishes) Corey Patterson would become. He gonna be good.

If the Cubs don't rush him and let him develop his plate discipline before coming to Chicago.

But is he even being taught plate disipline? Is this something the Cubs are even worried about?

Do the kids stay when the vets come in or do they filter out?

Some of each. Many American prospects will only go to winter ball for half a season.

According to this article, he is at least aware that he needs to work on it, whether or not it was Cubs coaches who made him aware. It would make sense, though, that if a Cubs player lists plate discipline as the first in a list of things he needs to work on, he probably heard it from one of his coaches.

What does he need to work on? More plate discipline, improving his baserunning and using the bunt more in a game, Pie said.

I could care less if he bunts more. It's a weapon, but only when used properly. He's a good enough hitter where he is more likely to reach base by swinging away than bunting.
