Both those ball parks are launching pads. I know the pitching is very good in this series. However, I think there will be more scoring then most people think.

I don't care who wins. I'll be happy for either team, as it will be a longtime coming for both. I cared a lot about the playoffs just long enough to see the Yankees and Cardinals eliminated. How sweet.

 

Hopefully it is sweep either way, so we can get down to offseason business involving the team that matters.

More time will be spent talking about the Cardinals, Yankees and Red Sox than every other team in baseball combined.

Chicago style pizza will get more airtime than Chicago style hot dogs.

NBC will cancel a show before the series ends.

I think my favorite part about that promo is that everyone seeing that line thought, "oh, he's a compassionate doctor." Then, when the show actually aired, he turned out to be the least compassionate doctor in history.

Boys and girls, a lot of time has passed and I've gotten pretty long in the tooth, if you know what I mean. I've reconciled myself long ago to the fact that I would never see my beloved CUBS win a World Series. I can live with that, really, I can. Don't like it one bit, but I can live with it. Now, the white sox are about to make their 5th appearance in the World Series. Fifth !! You know that the CUBS made their 5th WS appearance back in 1918 don't you ?? Yeah, lost to that team from Boston that's done but whine and moan about Babe Ruth for the next 86 years ! But, back to the white sox. Here' a franchise that's won 2 out of every 3 World Series that they didn't thow. Fine upstanding boys. No coincidence that their team colors are black, eh? Bottom line here..... I got a family history of heart disease, so there's just 2 things I want to make sure of. 1) Let's get about 4 quick wins for that Houston team, and 2) Don't let that Daley brat anywhere near the air raid sirens. My health may depend on it.
