I do have one question. Why did so many people make a big deal out of ND being ahead of MSU, but no one cares that Miami is ahead of FSU? It is the exact same scenario.

Probably because most of us are midwesterners. Plus there's only one FSU fan I know of here at NSBB, and no Miami fans that I know of.

Mizzou with 14 votes!

That's not the AP poll Adam.

Fixed. Sorry it was coaches poll.

I take the midwest thing as a good reason. Just seemed to me that a lot of people were complaining about ND for a situation that has happened to more than just MSU/ND. However to avoid another ND debate I will leave it alone.

Excellent, Mizzou is finally getting some votes. Wins at Kansas and at Colorado the next two weeks could get us in the Top 25 (and all but secure a Big 12 North title)[/code]

Whoever wins the Big 12 can hopefully pull some sort of miracle out and beat Texas. That team needs to lose. I just don't see it happening.

Raisin- Who else does UCLA play that could be a problem (besides USC). Is it pretty likely they will both be undefeated come time for their game?

I don't see it happening either...we played Texas already and they stomped us. We held it close for the first half and we could've even had a 21-0 lead after the first quarter, but turnovers and missed opportunities kept them in the game and they eventually took over.

Bend over, Illinois

Wait till basketball season. :(

When Dee Brown and, um, wait, I know this one....oh well, Dee Brown will single handedly carry the Illini to 5th place in the Big Ten.

5th place in the big 10? Behind who? lol

I don't think we (and by we, I mean you, me and Truffle) should get involved in any college basketball smack talk considering that Dee Brown could probably singlehandedly beat Penn State.

Penn State has a basketball team?

My team is DePaul, who will likely be the PSU of the Big East.

They all could be a problem, especially with the defensive problems:

@ Stanford (who just upset ASU)

@ Arizona (night game, thankfully)

Arizona State

Probably doesn't help that they just lost Morrissey for the season.

Kentucky, GT, Michigan, Kansas, Washington St. listed among the major conferences.

From my standpoint, I'd love either Price or Leach, how they could get Leach I'll never know.

Michigan will get who they want.

Kansas & Wash. ST will likely get up and coming coaches and I have no idea what GT would do.

I'd be the first to help Lloyd Carr on a plane out of Ann Arbor. His conservative managing has hurt U of M way more than it's helped them.

Small sampling of the school records broken at the ND/BYU game:

Quinn - Most passing yards in a half, breaking his own record from the Purdue game

Quinn - Most TDs in a game, six, breaking his own record of five from the MSU game

Quinn - Most TDs in a season, twenty

Stovall - Most receiving TDs in a game, four

Stovall/Samardzija - First time that two receivers had double digit catches

That was fun.

I was surprised at the BYU turnout...the Coug fans were pretty loud there for a while till ND took over.

Brady Quinn, Maurice Stovall, Jeff Samardzija, Darius Walker - Four reasons why Ty Willingham was fired

Speaking of Ty, who else noticed that he came closer to beating SC on Saturday than he ever did at ND? 8)

Quinn also moved to 2nd on the all time passing yard list, right behind Powlus.
