If the Yanks didn't get ho-slapped by schilling on sunday, this would be a moot point.

or how about beating tampa bay just once?

The Cubs didn't play their better players most of the season and the Yankees are complaining about Texas sitting their guys for one game? Sheesh.

Personally, I think it's awesome. If the Yankees worried more about winning their own games, they probably wouldn't be in this predicament.

first statement had me shaking my head in agreement and a brief sad chuckle...all sooo true

I don't know how anyone can pick the Yankees to beat the Angels. The Angels are just too complete, and have also owned the Yankees not only this year, but in the past as well (2002).

I've tried to avoid the "Hate Everything Yankees" mindset.

This didn't help. What a bunch of freaking rods.

how about don't get swept by the freakin' royals!

How about go sweep the Cubs?

Hold it...

(Man, did I hate that series.)

I guess it's the Rangers' fault that the Yankees $200M roster still wasn't enough to buy homefield advantage for a first-round playoff series. That's OK, their crying about this just gives me yet another reason to hate them.

I had some problems this year. I love to see the Yankees lose, but it's even better if they lose in the playoffs. So while I didn't want them to make the playoffs, I'm sort of glad they did. Now I get to see them choke again.

I heard Bobby Abreu Say "I can't believe the Cubs batted Patterson Lead-off yesterday, How could that team possibly find and even worse Lead-off man than Perez or Macias"

Well if they would have won that one game the Cubs beat them this year when Patterson was batting lead-off there wouldnt be any complaints now would there Bobby

Yep. I see the point. Why would Cub fans like the Yankees? Only 26 world titles since 1920. And that ARod and his complaining. Wouldn' t want him on our team.

Oh, and even better. Check out the poll...

What do you think was Buck Showalter's primary motivation in removing his starters

Sticking it to the Yankee's

Getting them an ovation

Yea, it couldnt be that he was giving younger/bench players a chance to play in a meaningless game.

Yes, those are the only two choices BTW.

If it was a Dusty managed team, there would be a choice for "It was over 90 degrees out, and those light skinned players couldn't take the heat in a meaningless game"

The Angels offense isn't that good.

Yes they are, they have Vlad.

7th in the AL in R, 6th in BA, 9th in OBP and SLG, and 11th in OPS. They have a very inconsistent, don't-take-pitches offense. The second highest OPS on the team after Vlad is Bengie Molina's .782.

Don't pitch to Vlad and they don't have even a mediocre offense.

And I mean REALLY don't pitch to Vlad - you have to heave pitches into the first-base dugout.

Most teams give Vlad the Bonds treatment with anyone on base. And I would too with Garrett Anderson and Bengie Molina behind Vlad.
