Penn State hosts Minnesota in what may be the start of a 1-6 slide to finish the year. Wins over Cincy, Central Florida and NU are nice and all, but from here on out, PSU plays Minnesota, Ohio State, Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan State. Gulp

Notre Dame at Purdue. Big game. If the Irish can win they will be 4-1 going into a bye week with USC coming to town the next weekend, which is also the start of a 5 game homestand, with no one that should be a worry except Tennessee (and USC). Purdue is favored by 3 I believe, and the Irish are gonna have a hard time. Neither has a defense worth much so I look for a shootout. May come down to who makes the least mistakes.

I agree there. How can Joe not see how bad of a quarterback Robinson is?

And the defense wasn't that good against Northwestern, so I'm not looking forward to seeing what the Gophers can do against them.

I hope the players feel the same way you do. :D

I really hope they don't. Maybe worry wasn't the right word. How about no one they won't be favored against.

Washington is one of those teams that you never know who is going to show up.

I think for at least the rest of this year, no one is going to show up for the Huskies. They have little talent, Ty is average at best, and he doesn't have the right staff helping him. While I could see them improving down the road, IMO they are one of the worst teams in the NCAA this year (in a BCS conference).

Last weekend was pathetic...Louisville looking like chumps against south Florida. Michigan with no defense at the end of the game against WI.

Perhaps this week will be better. Louisville I think will bounce back, but looks like another loss for the Wolverines at Michigan State....

What was the deal with that? At least they lost to another BE team and it would have been ok if S.Florida beat Penn State.

Well, here's the thing. Year before last, Louisville went down there and lost in OT. So I didn't think it'd be the blow out alot of folks were expecting. A blowout for Louisville, that is. And I think they just weren't prepared well enough for the game.

I may be blasted by folks here in Louisville, but I don't think Brohm, for all his hype, even last year, is as good as Lefors was. Brohm may have the edge in size, and in raw power, but Lefors was about the most intelligent quarterback in college football last year. The guy could think on his feet, and adapt to any situation that arose. If things didn't go according to plan, he'd go in another direction. Reciever wasn't open, he'd scramble around. Saw a change in coverage, he'd change up. I was a big big fan of his, and I think the team really misses his leadership, and it was apparent in the game on Saturday, especially against a team that was ready to stick it to us. And boy howdy, they sure did.

Some were predicting a perfect season, pointing to an easy schedule. I don't think we're even going to match last season's record.

Everytime I listen to ESPN Radio some is going on about how Louisville will win the NC, and I felt with their schedule they very easily could. I was suprised how far they fell in the rankings after Sat. Do you think they will still win the BE and make it to a BCS game? I don't know who else will could win. Maybe WVU?

We'll see how WVU does against VTech. This series usually has the underdog win for some strange reason.

I would love to see WVU win (just to piss of my friends) but VT has looked incredible. I was shocked at what they did to GT. VT is favored by 10.5 so I hope things continue the way they have been. I will definately be rooting for WVU. Hopefully VT is feeling a little too confident after last week.

Even though WVU is very weak at QB don't be surprised to see them get some revenge for last year. I think VT winning big last week was just what WVU ordered.

Texas comes into Faurot Field Saturday. It should be madness. Hopefully the game will allow that madness to last more than a series or two.

We played them tough last year, losing 28-20... in Texas. So we might have a shot. That said, I'm expecting us to get the crap kicked out of us. I'd like to see the goalposts come down one last time before I graduate though, so hopefully we can pull off the (enormous) upset!

well for my teams..

NIU doesn't play this weekend..they play next Wednesday against Miami Ohio.

Illinois travels to Kinnick..that game will probably not be too pretty. Drew Tate is going to torch the Illini's terrible secondary for probably at least 5 TD's.

Speaking of Illinois...Syracuse has scheduled them for the 2006 season. We play Iowa and Illinois next year.
